Is genocide the only option to peace now?

Why would having only one sentient species be grounds for peace? It is certainly not doing Earth any favors.

The usual…

-Alliance poster: Alliance wants peace, the Horde are to blame for war.
-Horde poster: Lists all the things the Alliance has done (Lost Isles, Taurajo, having a vote to commit genocide, Dalaran, etc.)
-Alliance poster: Either lists things the Horde has done, as if that makes the Alliance clean, or gives “reasons” why the Alliance things don’t count.
-Both sides keep exchanging examples and excuses.

Darkshore, I can understand as a military target. The intention of attacking Darnassus was to control the funneling of azerite to the Eastern Kingdoms. Sylvanas’s plan was to hold the citizens hostage while occupying Teldrassil knowing the Alliance wouldn’t bring harm to their own people. After being informed that Teldrassil contained only civilians, Sylvanas ordered the sacking to crush the will of the Elves, literally saying that hope fails.

This is in no way the same thing as attacking the fortress from which every attack in the northern Eastern Kingdoms was launched. You can sugarcoat it anyway you want, but the facts don’t care about your feelings. (Thank you Ben Shapiro)

Never her intention, just the excuse she used to keep the rest of the Horde from immediately deposing/killing her.

I will say, from the Horde perspective, the Alliance has never accepted the Horde’s existence (yes, there are the usual arguments over that, if you can’t accept the Horde doesn’t agree with the Alliance POV, you are just blowing hot air). But, unless Anduin works miracles (which a Mary-Sue character might), there is too much hatred for the Alliance to accept the Horde.

In the, “elimination” of the Horde is the only path to peace the Alliance will accept.

Just wiping out the orcs or humans. They are the main antagonists in the war and with out one or the other it would bring the rest of either faction into line and show them that yes business is serious now.

The Horde only exists to stand against the Alliance. The Alliance is fills a similar anti-Horde purpose now, but it was originally formed to defend the entire world. Neither faction can exist now in a “peaceful” Azeroth. The members of each faction would either be on their own or part of a unified faction that is again designed around defending all of Azeroth.

Humans are racists? Just like every race in this godamm game, being racist doesn’t even compare to being a genocidal. Also, funny you try to say to other “do you even lore” when you clearly didn’t, at least point something that the humans did towards the High Elves and i give you credit, and don’t came in with Garithos since he is dead and Kael’thas became evil anyway.

Night Elves and Blood Elves are still mortal enemies and they are the same race. I do not buy it.

i don’t want peace, i want to exterminate them.

i wish that blizzard understand this and make alliance characters act like this.

"I’ve heard these discussions on the internet about ‘she’s going off the rails’, but is she? I’ve been writing Sylvanas personally since 2006, and this is pretty much - the Wrathgate and the Blight and the Forsaken - in character. Those were all under Sylvanas’ orders.

Behold now, the terrible vengeance of the Forsaken! DEATH to the Scourge, and Death to the LIIIIVING!!! Ahahahahaha, now all can see this is the hour of the Forsaken… ~ Putress, under orders from Sylvanas

Seems to me, that Sylvanas is just ratcheting up the kill the living thing she has going on. As a druid, you should be appalled.

Responding to the OP: Want peace? Just cut the head of the Snake (Genn in the Alliance and Sylvanas in the Horde) and problem solved.

Why do you think she had the druids busy in Silithus before she even attempted Darkshore?

Sadly any time an Alliance character starts acting in a way that they want to give the horde a taste of their own medicine a bunch of plot characters jump out to stop them, and the horde players cry and bawl about how the mean alliance wants to kill them.

Sure would be nice if any of the plot characters showed up to stop the horde when they decide to murder as many innocents as they possibly can.

Genn has shown signs of growth as a leader and more willing to accept the Undead (Before the Storm).

Sylvanas has slid further down into darkness.

And that was always in question. We had a whole questline following his coup and suspicion of Sylvanas ensued.

I’m not roleplaying. I am not, myself, a Druid. Or a member of the Horde, for that matter. Some of you seem to conflate what’s going on in universe with who you are as a person.

Imagine some people wondering about their character’s role in an MMORPG.

“There’s no way that should have worked.”

Then the elves would learn the hard way the same way either the orcs or humans do. Be antagonists and not even the history books will remember you.

But your original solution of genocide still applies to them and every other disagreement in Azeroth, right?
