I’m not saying for Excorcism to just be added back on top of everything available to Ret im saying bring it back to REPLACE another. Which in my opinion would be HoW its so dull anyway because Judment is already a Hammer of light we throw and HoW just looks like a smaller version of it there for its not really esthetically pleasing because doesn’t play into the fantasy of the rotation you want to have when pushing different buttons you want different visual affects that are defining.
Hence why exorcism rather it be a former state or reiterated in a different way would fit the bill and completely removing HoW from ret in its place.
I think a glyph to make boj look and sound like old exo. And a new graphic making hammer of wrath look like an actual hammer of wrath and make it a proper execute.
To many hammers its a lil over done means you got judgment, divine tool = hammers all over hell, and on top of all that u got that new ability i cant think of what its called right top of my head as im writing this but was suppose to be replacement for conc with hammers floating around your toon. Last but not least damn HoW execute with another hammer is just to much in my opinion. I mean COMMON this is a Holy Knight the crusader of Justice “I am the LAW!” it should not be difficult to let your imagination run on this one and take this opportunity whilst its available to us ant not just settle with “well…its better than what it was” rather throw some good stuff at these dev’s to get the most out of this chance b/c i tell you what its not going to come around again.
at the moment, blade of justice is filling the spot exorcism was failing to fill. it applies a dot to all targets hit is not reliant on Consecration, and is 20 yards with the right talents. paladin specifically is PLAGUED with hold-overs from ancient days like holy shock and a hpally caster build on life support, lets not progress backwards when the new tools fill the same niche.
I mean, the stun element in Shadowmoon Burial Grounds is quite useful x) Maybe they can just add the DoT element when we cast our spender or something. I like having it for that reason and it’s long-range tag when I’m forced out of melee range on fights
Make Exorcism a choice node with Blade of Justice. BoJ was added to replace Exorcism, so it would make sense to have the player choose between Exo for its range/possible DoT and Blade for its higher/front loaded damage at the cost of range. Have both generate 2 holy power and have all talents the currently affect Blade also interact with Exo.
What I don’t get is why they need to balance the APM between classes. It’s fine that beastmaster hunters push less buttons that retribution paladins, everything doesn’t have to be homogeneous.
God we can’t do that though, that could hurt player’s feely weelies.
Seriously seen players say that glyphs should not be an option to change spell effects because they “don’t want to have to see other player’s choices”
But yes on serious note, this is absolutely the easiest way to solve the issue for 99.9% of the playerbase.
Personally I would have liked to see the opportunity of adding this new “radiant burn” aspect of the build to implement a newly designed Exorcism that embodies and fleshes it out a bit.
Alas nothing so far though.
And we still have no proper sized 2h hammer without all the junk. Look at Uthers/Paladin hammer in Wc3 and the best we got is a hammer that is 1/3 of the size from the trading post.
Agreed, personally i would love to see Paladin more like the Crusader from D3 which is able to hold two handed weapond along side the shield. With the “Falled Sword” animation- were your character looks to the heavens gets angelic like wings flyes straight up to land at [@cursor] location as a holy lightning bolt kneeling like Terminator 2 start of movie VS copy paste leap from warrior.
Exorzism, Old Judgment, Wake of Ashes (With Seething Flames) and the old Templar’s Verdict animation are my fav of all time player character animations of paladin
