It’s a number, you take it from there.
Believe it or not, it’s a pretty big chunk of the community and during that time, they loved their esports and arena participation was in the basement.
Nothing wrong with that. I have found it makes things better but in that regard, if you’re an altoholic casual, the AP grind made playing alts a nightmare. As well as the legendary grind if you wanted to any sort of pvp(later patch).
It sure was an empty zone after people got flying(Broken Shore) and Argus was abandoned after the netherlight crucible was complete.
Anyways, the devs have shown to have an addiction to these unfriendly systems. Systems that punish casuals/altoholics. And the signs of them focusing on these annoying systems are what I listed. And we have to wait until the last patch for them to finally fix what early feedback warned them about.
And not to be ignored with these systems is the intentional time gating. AKA trying to mask an unfinished product.
I have a man table in the laundry room with the laundry baskets, the cat box, and whatever needs a thing to be placed that doesn’t have place because clearly my empty place is a nice place for said item to be “temporarily” placed

They’ve stated with DF they are going away from this design. Do you not believe them?
Itll bring in literally sums of dollars
I bet a certain amount of people will play it, too.
No. I don’t believe anything this crop of devs say. They give lip service between every expansion.
Example: “No more AP grind” between Legion and BFA. Here we are…
That’s understandable.
This 100% for me, past three expansion and very closly following thier for thier beta have beliveing 6 months just is really going to be a tight squeeze for giving the game the time it deserves based on previous cycles of changes to a spec to next changes (not just % aura tuning) and that was with only 1/4 of the talents avail and 2 less specs, granted a good portion of talents are just abilities in game already/ are part of a default spec and all your getting is illusion of choice.
BUT now the new interaction between them and what can choose to have together and not lot more is going to be a much higher combination and probably deserves more iterations than before
Granted i havnt followed thier hiring and firing to say they have a bigger developemnt team or not just going to assume equal resoucres so probably should have a bit more time as we dont even have an alpha much less a full 36 specs talent trees to look at or a place to leave dedicated feedback yet to
even ion said on dragonflight release they wanted to get the talents system in the hands of players asap cause thier feedback is vaulable, so with only 6 months and thier past precedence im starting to regard that statement of ions as false and either they dont care about player feedback ( also a concern cause of past precednce) orthey are imo rushing things
also… disclaimer i have already bought the preoder
i know /shrug
This was a great ending to your post. ![]()
Ion said pvp is being looked at. something more WoD ish iirc.
If he does this even half good…it may get my money. Not preorder. Base deal. I don’t need boost. and I never used the cosmetics from BFA or SL either.
Sunk coast fallacy applies and well gripes aside I find my happy points in the game still that keeps me mostly loyal.
and covid. I was about to unsub till wrath c prelude start. then mr C visited the house. Wife was mild cold symptoms, me no symptoms. Only proof was a positive test for me.
1 day left to sub, week of self isolation in home. Okay…a block of sub time is better than covid isolation boredom.
still ironing out goals in retail, classic rogue chips away a path to 70. I’ve done worse things with more money.
I mean to be pedantic, being psychic wouldn’t help all that much. You’d want to be clairvoyant.
Some of us have been around a very long time (since the beginning) and temper expectations with experience and wisdom. We have firsthand experience playing Blizzard expansions rushed out the door.
I was thinking the easter bunny was going to bring us this in a basket in 2023. next to the chocolate bunny and marshmallow peeps.
I was actually hoping for that. I want polished. I don’t want 9.0. As a more classic at this point player now giving 9.2.5 its paces more and more…I will say thank you to blizzard.
thank you for the taking that ego, putting it aside and finally giving player feedback a chance in the game. its gets a thanks. but…it also gets a this stuff needed to be more at 9.0 level lol.
lets not do this for 10.0 shall we? all I ask. 10.0 should be good. not 10.2.5 lol.
There’s a difference between not having faith, and outright just saying the expansion’s trash without even looking at it.
Well, I am. But after doing a quick scan of everyone’s minds, no one else is.
I’m sorry, I cannot abuse my power like that. At least not for other people.
Remote is down the back of the couch. Keys are hanging from the front door lock.
It’s simply a matter of identifying trends and patterns. Sure, exceptions may occur, but given the information that we currently have, it’s fair to assume that DF isn’t that fully fleshed out yet and we’re likely going to have another beta launch.
There’s nothing to suggest an enthusiastic team is working on it.
The constant radio silence is going to work against them now.
Nice theory but my own is the announcement was today because a promotion is going on. The one that invited inactive accounts back to the game. In hopes more people would buy lil baby ursoc
and! generate some hype for a new expansion. Trying to take advantage of a situation they have going at this time. I could be wrong but it is how I feels.
My problem is they didn’t advertise much. They probably didn’t advertise very much because a lot of is in early development. Now if the small bit of content we did see, which was one mount customization (count it one), incomplete class and race. Four zones and we barely had previews of that…I’m sorry also a small clip of what dragonriding might look like. Ya it’s not looking like they are anywhere near done that content, let alone tackling anything else.
They showcased and tried advertising this expansion too early. It was incredibly apparent. I never said it was bad just that it looks like in early development. So you might be able to understand where people are coming from… when they don’t think the team will be given proper time to develop and make lots of content. It more or less feels like it will be minimal content and with a deadline like that lucky if it isn’t buggy mess. That is why people are pessimistic, in my case it’s not to be negative for negative sake. (I don’t care for the Blizzard hate train) I love this game, I want it to succeed. It’s just being realistic not physic. I also dislike the reality of stakeholder capitalism with a passion and what it has done to this industry. (I genuinely want it to be fixed too. Otherwise the future of gaming is incredibly bleak…due to massive greed) Pretending like consumers don’t matter. Shelling out products the consumers riot and leave bad reviews on the product being mediocre. (Not giving the team/project proper time and funding) Yet the company doesn’t care.
They could’ve capitalized on a beloved universal theme. (Dragons) Take time to give TLC, (make a sort of redemption to the consumers) but again it seems like the company doesn’t care. Which ultimately means it doesn’t care about the customers. We know how well that goes over with people.

Dragonflight makes me think of when I was around 20 years old.
I dated this guy who just kept cheating over and over and over and I forgave him every single time thinking “This time will be different! This time he won’t cheat!”
Similar to buying expansion after expansion thinking it will be different. Sadly, the expansions don’t even f you. ![]()
