I get that those who only do M+ and raids couldn’t care less if our Voidwalker and Fellguard can tank or not, but demo is the only spec with a viable tank pet currently. And it’s still worse at tanking than it was in DF.
It’s the only reason I use the spec for open world/delve content, although it’s definitely much weaker DPS than the other two.
They’ve really screwed up the class for solo play.

Solo with Demo, raid with Affliction, dungeons with Destro. That’s my plan.
Well, with all the new data surging in, demo warlocks are now close to dead last across most type of content (PVP and PVE), it is pretty obvious that Blizzard’s vision of what demo lock should be isn’t working at all, the pvp data is even worse, demo participation is so low it is quite literally down there with the tanks lmao.
I am very confused. I play demo, i usually pull fairly decent numbers. Why is everyone saying RIP Demo?
I’ve been enjoying Demo thus far, sure blizz boned us as usual this expansion, but just means relearning stuff a bit. Only reason I’m a bit low on damage on my group is because we have a ret paladin, no beating that right now. But, that paladin doesn’t pay attention to mechanics, which means I usually soar up to top when they die XD
The dev team that brought you BM hunter are likely the same running demo lock. You have to play DK Unholy if you want pets and you’re only viable game content with unholy is to bully sub 1400 in solo shuffle. Blizzard must stand for, Left out in the cold, because they utterly jacked over the Demo lock and the BM hunter and it takes one of the top world players to make BM anything other than trash… not one demo lock was represented in the AWC, nor will be in the Mythic Tourneys. If you’re playing demo its because you like it and have no interest in getting in any raid, mythic, arena team, or taken seriously in blitz or random dungeons and BGs.
This is only possible if you Tyrant 10+.
Getting 12-15 (18 for a very short time following ruination) is the top end during normal rotation.
