Projecting much? Sounds like school didnt treat you well bro
War is rank1 in SS I’d say your not the class that need it. Having such a strong tool on only 1 class was detrimental to the game, Thats why nothing is exclusive now. Stealth, CC etc.
How does the calculations work of mortal strike plus dampening?
Just curious since this is on topic.
Damp would work better if it effected every healer equally. Kinda insane that it doesn’t effect dr so any healer with more dr are just better
that is actually my point yet many still think i want dampening gone
bleh
this actually contributes to longer queue times too since it enforces a meta for healers, and you cant buff a healer for shuffle without making them OP in 3s
I just think we should go about using dampening differently. Like a higher initial value but a less crazy ramp up. This makes even the first goes dangerous
Thing is he’s right though, the spreading of strong, near-100% uptime MS effects to more and more specs in the game has resulted in comp diversity suffering hugely and Blizzard having to super buff every single healer to have 50,000 powerful cooldowns or just tuning their overall throughput to be (in some cases) almost double their base value in PvE otherwise they’re just not viable.
If you’re a melee spec that doesn’t bring an MS effect to the table you’re forced to queue with another melee or a Demo Warlock or you just can’t close out games until extremely high levels of dampening.
If you play a healer that is undertuned your mana plummets faster than that hawk tuah girl’s reputation did because the moment you do anything other than spamming throughput buttons on your team you’re permanently behind vs the enemy team’s healer (funny how it’s almost always Holy Paladin or Disc Priest that end up being the best healers…).
MS effects have to be reigned in for the health of the game, why on earth specs like WW, Havoc or Feral even have an MS effect to begin with is incomprehensible given they have 100% uptime on every spec not called Frost Mage while having strong burst windows.
What the heck? You actually think any of whatever it is that you just wrote is true?
Nah man, it’s an excerpt from my slam poetry book.
Well, you were wrong on basically everything you wrote there.
When two chicks hatch from the same egg, the egg usually has two yolks. Usually, one embryo out competes the other and only one chick survives to hatch. Many time both embryos die before hatch. We have no knowledge of Siamese twin chicks ever being hatched.
wait havocs have a mortal strike now? wtf
What do you mean now?
They’ve had it since at least Shadowlands.
i havent really played since legion tbh i had no idea
i was mega casual in a shadowlands season (maybe BFA?, I store them in the same place), idk which one, to the point of not even knowing abilities. I thought it was kinda crazy giving ferals mortal wounds (as someone who only played feral until then)
wait havocs have a mortal strike now?
Ye!
Lock
Hunter
Feral
War
Dh
Rogue
Ww
Doesn’t psyfiend also mortal strike?
“Well technically yes, but no”
It has a sharpen effect, not a traditional MS, which is coded separately and an important distinction, because if it was the same then tapping psyfiend would remove the other MS effects (i.e. how warrior slaughterhouse works for fury) even if the psyfiend was killed instantly following.
I guess so, but that’s a distinction without much of a difference
Totally fair, I was mostly just referring to classes with sustained traditional mortal strikes.
Sharpens would be rogue, sp, and arms.
Then there’s dk necro wounds which is its own niche thing.
dk necro wounds
I had a blast with the original version of this.
i.e. how warrior slaughterhouse works for fury
This was fixed with TWW and was probably the only mortal strike debuff that was outright removed instead of suppressed when a higher ms was applied
