Is Classic Full of Blizzard-Planted Bots?

I stopped by Stormwind AH yesterday on my server. There were at least 100 players in the square, visible to me. That’s more than normal. Normal is about 40 characters, any time I visit that square.

My server’s LFG channel gets about 15 posts a minute. If you only count actual LFG posts, it gets 2-4 per minute.

So “the realms you have characters” must be very different from the 2 realms (one Alliance, one Horde) that I play on every day.

Who on earth are you talking about? Who is “they”?

The devs obviously care about the game – most of them could get higher salaries at another company – and they care nothing about money. They get the same salary, no matter what.

The CEOs of a corporation obviously care about money: that is their full-time JOB. If they didn’t care about money, Blizzard would not exist, and neither would WoW. It’s that simple.

But the CEO does not actually GET any of the profits. Activision-Blizzard is a publicly traded company, owned by the share-holders. You or I or anyone else can buy shares and become a part-owner.

Can not speak for every server but in windseeker
We use LFG, for LFG, and sometimes a bit of late night banter, but we try and keep the banter short so not to kill off people that are LFG.
We dont use it for trade, you will get yelled at if you start dropping trade stuff in it.
Ours is very active with people looking for group members.

/1 General mostly used for talking to people out in your quest zone
useless for trade in cities, can not link things

/2 Trade is where all the trade stuff happens, and is usually very busy during primetime.

I think you need to readjust your tin foil hat.

whitemane is pretty damn populated, problem is they’re just not the right classes. pretty much every guild on the server is in desperate need of healers of all types and warlocks at the raid level, and for dungeon content the tank and healer drought has only been worsened by pvp.

O_O I don’t have any idea what realms you might be on that are like that.

Only one of the five realms I have characters on has ever looked like a ghost town during normal player hours for the realm - and that’s the Brazilian realm Sul’Thraze which is seriously low population. The others are very active.

Last night I did WC with my brother and sister-in-law, and we picked up both a DPS and a tank in 15 minutes or less using General chat and LFG. There were at least three other groups progressing inside and doing quests, and plenty of talk in Barrens.

I mean … it does get quite empty if I keep playing after midnight my time, which is 3 am realm time. But even then, there’s usually three or four people in the bank in Org, a half-dozen in the AH, a couple flying.

I’ll admit that’s weird, but I don’t follow your leap to Blizzard inserting bots. I’d come up with all kinds of hypotheses, maybe ask the player and see if I got a response, run to Crossroads to see if they land and do anything, etc.

I heard from Blizzard they are the ones posting all the complaints about classic hoping everyone will quit so they can say I told you so.

How big is your tin foil hat, seriously? This level of conspiracist cannot be healthy.

This is an interesting theory
