Exactly. Players today are better informed than they were 14 years ago, and the mechanics of MC are child’s play compared to those in modern games.
You don’t need to be 60 to grind that rep and considering how ahead of the curve they were, they could grind it easily.
Yea.
For example:
Baron Ged.
Only 2 mechanics were the mana drain and if you get the debuff, run to the cave and when your launches you hit head on cave roof and take little fall damage.
Today normal whatever -
Everyone has to dodge circles, cones, cleaves,
Tank swap mechanics
Kill adds
If debuff run with people or away from people or spread or stack
And fair amount of fights have multiple of those pieces and a lot happens at the same time. And that’s normal. Heroic adds more damage. Mythic adds more mechanics.
Also the human mind is good at making one remember something better than it was. Psychology. So if you like MMOs that are hard, your brain remembers it being harder. This is true in everything. Break an arm - 5 years later you will look back on it as “eh it hurt a little bit” when at the time you thought it was miserable pain and couldn’t use it for weeks/months.
Also psychologically there is the first impression moment. You always remember something and someone at their best or worst or first impression. And if that first impression was amazing, it doubles down as best. And because of that your mind thinks it was better than it was.
Our brains are very good at fooling us. Watch some videos on it, it’s very fascinating.
