Is Blizzard making the Horde weaker on purpose?

Of course it is! Have you heard the Stormwind theme? It’s got an angelic choir in it, that’s the sure sign of an unstoppable god.

Blame Sylvanas for that. She destroyed the Horde for me, taking over for Vol’jin and just throwing the entire faction under the bus… for the Jailor.

And cross-faction grouping exists. Hard to stay for that reason alone.

I can finally play Alliance and not feel like I’m missing out of the game anymore.

Imo, the Horde is narratively finished, anyway.

All they have to do now is tie up the Forsaken storyline, and they’re done.

There isn’t even a Warchief anymore, there’s a council. It’s basically a full mirror to the Alliance now, except everything is colored red.

Vulpera are less dangerous as a race, than Gnomes. That hurt the faction as well.

Horde is supposed to be edgy, but lately Alliance feels more like that than the Horde does.

The modern Horde has no teeth.

Well thought out response. I especially like how you include your perspective based on the observations you’ve made that refute my argument.

Thwy could have done a lot of that without making her the Warchief and made her the antagonist. Why they did it the way they did still boggles the mind.

No one is saying that. I would be happy If Blizzard’s taking notes from other games and gives us some equality.

The writers and devs like the Alliance better and they seem to take that out on the Horde, both storywise and sometimes even in game.

So why is when one side gets a little more focus in a story/expansion the other side starts claiming favoritism and acts the part of a victim?

Fun fact, this is exactly what was said about the horde.

That or a looooot of Rogaine :dracthyr_tea:

I mean what do Void elves get? a rock in void space?
Ironforged? one small slice of the dungeon?

I do even think your base ‘facts’ are true. Put a bit more thought into this and come back.

Oh. I don’t mean to say that anyone got the better deal. It’s just that the comment I reponded to made it seem like Horde actually got the city.

Nobody really got anything worthwhile truth be told.

Not Just a Bit. This happened since Legion and Blizzard pretends the Horde doesen’t exist.

If the death factions ever surface its likely by that point the alliance storyline has progressed further into light and void worship while the horde is more representative of nature and death.

I think if the factions were abolished and races chose their own individual ties, so things like everlasting animosity between night elves and the forsaken of lordaeron but neutral bonds between the maghar and the night elves. Assuming that ever becomes a thing the greater individual powers; humans, blood elves and possibly dwarves will all have to be culled in the story somewhat. Dwarves will probably be fodder and experience heavy losses fighting the good fight, blood elves will probably succumb to the void and humans will probably be a mix of the two with more light extremism being their empires downfall.

I think its all destined to fall apart on azeroth (void cataclysm) and noticing how the horde is falling behind is more a sign that the alliance has yet to, not that they’re winning the race towards world domination.

Your version of events is entirely backwards bruv, Horde got the better end of the deal every single race.
Vulpera are better than diapergnomes, they’re an actual new race rather than just a group of people so rubbish that they all need prosthetic limbs to even survive.
Zandalari trolls V Kultiran, a fleshed out faction that show up in more expansions than they’re absent from with multiple entire raid tiers dedicated to them vs Jaina’s backstory faction that somehow found a way to be less relevant than an actual dead human faction (Lordaeron) throughout wows history. You think they got bodied in BFA? I bet you can’t even name off the top of your head who the leader of Kul-Tiras was before Jaina because it was ultimately of 0 significance to anything.
The uncorrupted orcs of Draenor vs some B villains from a 14 year old dungeon that really showcased blizzard scraping the bottom of the barrel for something to give the alliance because horde was getting something.
Another race of tauren with their own established zone who as of this expansion now more or less have can count a dragonflight aspect among their ranks vs more draenei who get put on the backburner immediately to do nothing until they’re needed later.
One of the most ancient and powerful magical civilizations on azeroth vs a literal outcast group of void-corrupted elves that were conjured out of nothing so Alliance didn’t get high elves, because Alliance can never once be allowed to have anything that even remotely rivals what the horde got. This one in particular is so hilariously misbalanced that even if the other 4 races horde got were worse than what the alliance got horde would STILL be ahead.

BFA as a whole was so good to the horde that there were seasons where over half of the Alliance mythic guilds that cleared the current raid would transfer to Horde that tier. It is absolutely laughable to suggest Alliance was favored in any way at all.

That’s pretty much defined the Horde right from day one. They’ve always been a motley crew of survivors and castaways.

Bfa was not a good story in any sense. Making your faction losers is the worst feeling possible.

And we didn’t ask for desert rats we wanted ogres and forest trolls.

  1. I never said it was a good story, I said the game was good to the Horde. By all metrics the story was trash.
  2. Alliance has been the losing faction for almost 20 years, I’d love for them to have some Ws for a change and it seems that is finally coming to pass.
  3. Yes you damn well did, everyone on these forums begged for the desert rats but the fact remains Horde got them, and Alliance got diapergnomes. I hate both of them personally but the fact remains that diapergnomes are more hated.
