Gonna take back most of what I said about Wither earlier today. After further play, I find it growing on me. But I still wish the animation didn’t vanish. It was a nice visual que on which mobs were dotted and which were not.

not a good comparison at all why should a rot class also have burst? it makes no sense
Because without burst, affliction would take forever to kill anything.

The theme of one class having rot over burst is dead and gone. It used to be really good when there was weakneses to type of dps but blizzard through that right out the door a few expansions ago.
It used to be that way but now we have about half of the specs doing both rot and burst. Some have burst up every 45 to 1 min now so good luck surviving out there.
I mean there used to be a difference between caster/melee but even that is being done away with. You now have casters spamming instants and too few cast and casters cosplaying as melee even though half of the damage is coming from instants from range now, and melee that have so much mobility you can use them on the go with no forethought. And not even going to get into the whole hlr design either.
At this rate we’ll have a wow dota.
