Well, we would have to disect her to actually find out how much of her was changed and how, but since she didnt appear to have any mammalian traits (other than mammary glands I think?) I would hypothesize that she is an amphibian or fish now.

“Mammal” and “amphibian”, like all biological classifications, are the result of humans trying to make sense of their surroundings. The most useful categorization will prevail regardless of whether it’s consistent.

Queen Azshara is part Elf, part snake and part octopus.

See, these are the sorts of hard hitting and interesting questions that players want…no…demand to know the answers for.

Yet time and again, the devs in general and Ion in particular duck these for those softball questions that Lore keeps feeding him in the Q&A’s.

to answer this question, we must first determine if elves are mammals.

based on their blue/purple skin we can determine that they’re cold blooded.

They also have a habit of nesting in trees, similar to birds.

these 2 facts put together likely means that they lay eggs, meaning they are in fact not mammals, thus meaning Azshara is not a mammal.
