Are we actually expected to progress through BRD like a new raid?

easy way to get gear for alts or to get missing pieces and use in the catalyst for tier set if you were unfortunate

Well, if day 2 is any indicator, it’s supposed to be done solo if Moira sending me in Doom Guy “The only thing they fear…IS YOU” style…

It was tough on day one especially in a pug of LFR DPS refusing every single mechanic. But now it’s been nerfed to death already.

The bench was talking about blind progging it. Tettles specifically saying that he thinks it’s tuned fine. After walking in with a full 630+ group. Like, yeah. It feels alright with 627 ilvl, I’m not worried about my overgeared self. I’m worried about the standard AOTC prog player who isn’t no-lifing and wants to get into the raid, expecting it to be the same level as NP, if not slightly easier. It’s a limited time event. Like, seriously with this overtuning crap.

The tone deaf conversation was hard to listen to. You know you’re lost in the sauce when your takes are basically “I did it with max gear, so you idiots should be able to pug it with 20 less ilvl average fine.”

You’re talking about farming tokens after get the 100 currency achiv, right? How else i can get more except from brd? And can i farm them, on the raid, using mutiple alts? Thanks.

You just do the content you can do with the characters you can do them with. May take you a little longer if you have fewer alts or can’t do normal or heroic. But you have lots of time just doing the things you can. I’m not into PvP so I’m missing out on some every week. It’s fine.

IDK there is a crit haste ring i would like from bel ar or whatever the 2nd boss is called

The 2nd boss drops pants… and now I’m traumatized.

i updated my post, idk what I was typing tbh

1> Just do stuff. It adds up quick.

2> Part of that, and then getting more once you have 100+ … is to run BRD in LFR.

At least THAT difficulty is pretty face roll. But ymmv with that standard paradox in WoW where the lower difficulties are sometimes harder … because people REFUSE to do mechanics.

But all things considered, if you want quick Tokens, BRD LFR should be an easy source.

I was sorta indifferent to him, he just comes off as boring to me, but after reading that, it solidifies my disdain for him.

When a dungeon/raid drops i619, it should be a decent challenge at i610. Getting the drops should make you jump out of your chair with excitement and celebration at this AMAZING new piece of gear!!!

Imagine that toolshed pushing Mythic, to then go back to a Heroic raid, and claim “it’s tuned ok.” What a jackwagon.

I’m tired of content being tuned so high that you need the gear that already drops from that content … to progress on that content. I’m not here JUST to kill the boss. Getting the loot IS PART OF THE FUN!!!

And all of that fun is lost when I’m already i620, killing a boss that drops i619 loot.

DUHHHHHH.

Blizzard: “hey everyone, we brought back this cool BRD raid and gave it extra tiers for whoever wants to do it! go have fun!”

Players: I CAN’T BELEIVE I AM BEING FORCED TO RAID HEROIC BRD, GOSH DARNNIT BLIZZARD

Pretty much summs most forum posters lately. And not just for BRD lol

It is intended to be a new progression raid.

My lvl 30-ish alt wants to thank you all for including him in LFR for BRD.

Its reminding me of crucible in bfa, a raid for people that had already finished the current one and wanted something to do to keep progressing, tuned for those already geared people.
Except the special gear bonuses mostly suck, the item level isnt any higher, stat itemization is just awful and its not even fully new, its a limited time remake that might be the classic timewalking raid going foward.

Should have been Onyxia instead: nice, short, nostalgic, a newer giant bag slot; but its a dwarf expansion so dwarf history time.

What does this mean to you?

Because, I can’t make sense of it.

It means there are extra tiers available for players to do.

Not sure what’s so confusing about it to you lol

Make content->don’t think it through->this is the player’s fault.

As it stands the design of the place just doesn’t synergize with a good raid experience. The raid is tuned somewhere around late heroic to early mythic on heroic but only drops hero track gear without mastery and cantrip weapons. Since its tuned for borderline mythic groups you’d think it could field a mythic raid group of 20, but it can’t so you are pushed to pug it or bench people for “casual” content.

Its tuned fairly high for puggable content so most groups are for learning or progging and to have an effective group you’ll likely overgear it with likeminded players who don’t really need anything except maybe an overbudgeted trinket or something, this item you can get just for doing a full clear once and never doing it again. In other words its high risk low reward content.

The main problem is that it should have been designed to do something
either:

  • Another Alt gear(this applies to normal and heroic) catchup that doubles as a way to get people their coins in an efficient manner
  • A challenge raid that allows a full group to go in and later bosses have hero on normal and myth on heroic gear that doesn’t go on the vendor not too different from how hard mode mega dungeons have functioned before.

As advertised the raid should have been fairly simple and be easy to get into and not overly difficult since its time limited celebratory content that should be viewable by the most people possible. Having lfr, normal, and heroic is pointless in this regard since experiencing a raid on a difficulty has certain expectations in regards to difficulty and experience. If I want to actually experience a raid I would never do it on lfr for example. Its a shame that it is how it it is, because I honestly think the raid is cool, but it’s a pain to organize a guild group for it due to group size, difficulty, and lack of relevant rewards.

Anyone that wants to do it. I happen to be having fun in there.

Umm… yeah?

That’s why there’s an LFR, Normal and Heroic mode.

:dracthyr_shrug:

People who want to run something new and different for the anniversary— on whichever level they feel like.

There’s currency you can get to buy the gear, too, so people can get appearances or upgrades.

You’re missing the point. To the extent, you’re being oblivious of the point.

If you’re doing WQs and Delves, maybe once a month you run LFR Nerub … then this thread isn’t about you.

If you’re in a Hc/Mythic progression guild, then when are you supposed to find time to do ANOTHER progression raid??

THAT is the point.

This raid “isn’t neat and fun”, when there’s no time to engage with it. Most people raid 2 nights a week for Nerub progression, so now HEY! Just bump that to 4 nights a week for BRD progression, too!

No one’s doing that.

Oh sorry-- that’s your next post: “no one” is a relative term when you want to argue semantics. As we saw previously, yep… there are Mythic raiders running it “for funsies.” Yep… totally valid observation when people done with Mythic are running a Heroic raid… yep…
