I’ve been here for the lore since day one.

If I actually wanted to, I could create about 12 novels around my characters going through the history of all these expansions.

Is it great writing? No. But the universe is interesting. Minus SL.

I haven’t really been invested in a WoW story since WotLK.

I read whats being posted here and its clear I’ve never been invested in any of it. I only casually know what’s going on, who these people are, what they’re doing or what the gross politics and machinations of it all means.

I liked pursuing (or even being pursued by) the Lich King in Wrath.

I liked the entry into BFA, marching with Sylvanas into Darkshore and burning the tree.

Other than that, I don’t really know much about what’s going on.

Its not much about the war. its more about the nonesense war. You hate each other for 10min then a big bad guy appear you need the other help so you friend. Oh we killed him time to hate each other. Nope not yet we still friend there is another one

i mean thats the problem i want pure focus for years of just faction war. No big bads, no holding hands. just pure hatred and fighting. If we fight the big bads we do it alone while fighting each other. Thats what I desire. BFA was like half faction fighting, half getting back together after a broken relationship i dont want anything like that.

Im taking a more of a wait and see approach.

Im hyped yet cautious this time around.

IT’S DEAD!!! DONE!!! Let it lie!!!

The faction war is done…gone and if you dont like that concept its time to move on man.

And how do you know that?

Interestingly, the trailer for BFA has the most views.

As long as we don’t have a shadowlands expansions again.

I’m invested in it. I’ve enjoyed connecting threads, building (and rebuilding) head-canon over the years. I think it’s earned a big payoff and I’m glad to see it.

At this stage, I don’t feel I need any huge surprises or to have my expectations subverted. We’ve had years upon years of larger and larger ominious foreshadowing. I’m looking forward to seeing a logical outcome of all the gears in motion, give or take the twists and turns that happen when conflicting plans are finally tested against each other on the battlefield.

( and, when the dust settles, a new age can begin )

Hard to be when there’s only one Horde character in the three expansion story.
They bent over backwards to yell Alliance names.

Will I play it? Yeah.
Am I invested? No.

the titans are all dead barring azeroth and sargeras

their spirits now power the prison of sargeras at the seat of the pantheon

maybe they return to give azeroth her life force to awaken

They haven’t sold me on the idea sadly.

I feel the second expansion will deliver on some cool lor’themar and Sylvanas stories, but yeah, the first installment is very ally centric: even down to the Arathi involvement. Wonder if we will see some high elves, too? Though maybe that’s where Alleria comes in?

more interested in the worldsoul saga than dragon family therapy.

Now that is funny… I wonder if he’s seen Anthony Hopkins statements on the MCU and specifically the Thor movies, or Robert Downey Junior on his role as Ironman.
