Last year was so bad in my opinion it could only be better. That is unless they announce 3 or 4 more mobile games and nothing else. That might cause a riot. Honestly I hope they realize Blizz-con isn’t the right place to announce anything mobile and use other ways to announce those types of products and keep to their PC audience.
I doubt it… I mean I am not even going to bother with a Virtual Ticket this year. Zero hype.
Charging more for worse rewards. Sounds like when they upped the expansion price in WoD.
Why buy a ticket when the entire convention will just be on youtube the next day anyways? Not like I’ll be on the edge of my seat for WoW Mobile announcement anyways.
It’s funny that people keep parroting this line. Blizzcon and Blizzon virtual tickets aren’t about the free stuff, it’s a convention for Blizzard related games. The handouts and just extras you get thrown at you.
why would i buy tickets to a convention based on mobile games? we’ll see how they do this year after the diablo mobile disaster, and i’ll consider buying tickets for the next one. since they ain’t even teasing what kinda stuff they’ll be showing, i’ll keep my money.
I bought it because I am really excited for diablo 4.
Diablo was basically my first ever online game. Everyone was duping breastplates of the whale and rings of the whale and stuff it was so cool and different than anything I’d ever played before.
Diablo 2 was basically peak 90s/early 2000s. That game will always have a very special place in my heart and to this day I still listen to the diablo 2 and LOD soundtrack. Again and again and again…
D3 was ok. Still play it sometimes, it’s got some really fun gameplay sometimes when you get the right gear and then it really feels fun until it gets a bit monotonous.
Even though cynicism seems to be more rife than in the past, not atypical for something that’s been around for some time, Blizzcon will still be a hot ticket as long as there is a loyal following.
I’m still a fan of the game & enjoy playing with friends, but buying a Blizzcon ticket will remain on my ‘would be cool, but have better uses for the money’ list.
^^^ This,I was there and it wasn’t dramatic as people make it seem, poor guy looked like he hadn’t had experience in front of a big crowd before and the context I took it as was a lighthearted joke to break the ice and backfired. People need to keep in mind, most game devs aren’t necessarily malicious but a good number ARE often extremely socially awkward. Other than that,I enjoyed myself playing the demo for it,playing the demo for WC3: Reforged,Classic’s demo, etc. It just drives me buggy that people just focus on that one thing when it wasn’t necessarily all that bad,if anything it was a fun experience.
Blizzcon is like a mini-holiday for me. So I enjoy it. I also play more then 1 blizzard game so the rewards go with all those games. Plus I like hearing the live news/bands/ esports (overwatch)
