As an Alliance loyalist, I think he has to go. His answer to why the dishonorable Horde continues to follow their bloodthirst is “we had Arthas”? Alliance didn’t follow Arthas (the death knight)… ever. Arthas was a tragic failure. In the end, Arthas was stopped by an Alliance paladin.
Anduin is making common cause with the murderers who have brought enough madness into the world to make it birth the child of insanity, born of an insane union. It is, after all, the Horde who began to weaponize azerite.
He lacks judgement.
Are we supposed to be content that the 4th war is over? While the Horde mourns one of the biggest murderers that has ever lived, after releasing yet another madness onto the world?
Anduin has betrayed his father’s promise. The Horde is dishonorable. It must be put down. And Anduin can no longer lead.
Neither Arthas nor Daelin were even part of the Alliance we’ve currently got going on. They were part of the Alliance of Lordaeron, formed after the destruction of Stormwind in the First War.
If you’re talking about Saurfang he isn’t even in the running.
Anduin’s naivety is one of his defining characteristics; this isn’t new. This is the same person who dropped in on Garrosh, broke his new toy (the Divine Bell) and somehow thought he’d be able to talk Garry down.
He merely said that the Alliance has some regrets too, not that they were equal in strength, just that it shouldn’t stop everything and have it rule you. The regret with Arthas being that he wasn’t stopped earlier, Jaina had this as a massive regret and you can see that in her nightmare world in the quests involving her.
Daelin decided to go and try genocide the Orc remnants against the wishes of the Alliance when they had just helped save the world with Archimonde and whatnot. That is a regrettable course of action one of their leaders took
Anduin is a naive character with a strong moral compass.
Obviously in a world with internet tough guys, and where edge is cool, that makes people hate him more than he actually deserves.
In a game with angry characters, sad characters, downright evil characters, it’s good to have at least one character that represents that naive dream of a perfect world.
How has he failed his test at leadership? He actively led his people to victory against the Horde but joining and aiding the Horde rebels. Just because he has a better morallity then you want him to, doesn’t mean he has failed as a leader.

There is nothing moral about what he has done. Exposing Alliance’s throat to the dishonorables will only pile on more Alliance bodies. He is trying to buy Horde’s redemption, which the Horde doesn’t even want, with Alliance lives. He has failed as a leader.
This entire reply…It hurts me on a spirital level because he didn’t expose the Alliance’s throat to any ‘dishonorables’, and you didn’t even give a proper answer to the question. Once more the Alliance/Horde war is over, because of him siding with the Rebels and outsting Sylvanas for what she is.
