3v3 lfg is dying, but the bracket is still very lively.
Time to stop being anti-social and make friends.
Ehm. 3s was quite dead in the last season of SL when shuffle wasn’t even implemented but was quite active in DF season 1, even though we had shuffle.
So please tell me you aren’t one of those haters who are blaming shuffle for dead 3s.
Delusional! Shuffle is very active, despite the fact that it has a soft capped mmr.
not completely wrong I suppose, but the answer is actually that:
Blizzard gave shuffle a lower amount of inflation/coefficient (or some other variable) despite higher participation, to 1) keep the 3v3 mains happy by making it so that the glad mount will ultimately require high rival skill level to achieve by end of season [e.g., since now less will want to do shuffle if 3s is the easier path to rewards, thereby giving 3s more inflation], and 2) to make blitz appear more successful.
Yea man, that is right.
I know, because I can deal with math and logic. Can you?
Prove it then.
I did already show in another thread, that it is mathematically nearly impossible.
Anyways, everything you can find everything you need at seramate activity and ladder tab: Shuffle has in total around 10% more players overall.
Activity between 1000 and 1500
BBG: 4226 games played by 10180 characters → (4226 * 16)/10180 ~ 6.64 games/char
RSS: 53602 rounds played by 10783 characters → (53602 * 6)/10783 ~ 29.83 rounds/char
Activity between 1500 and 1800
BBG: 10191 games played by 15397 characters → (10919 * 16)/15397 ~ 11.35 games/char
RSS: 95298 rounds played by 14428 characters → (95298 * 6)/14428 ~ 39.63 rounds/char
Activity above 1800
BBG: 7519 games played by 5695 characters → (7519 * 16)/5695 ~ 21.12 games/char
RSS: 48230 rounds played by 5689 characters → (48230 * 6)/5689 ~ 50.87 rounds/char
So how could it potentially be, that despite both brackets had nearly the same amount of active players in the past 7 days in each rating areas, the top bbg players have nearly 3k rating but in shuffle its maxed out at 2.4k basically?! It simply can’t be, based on participation and activity!!
Ok, I have seen this dribble before. What I haven’t seen is you give any form of a response back when people say things like Nasarajin as to you about it.
Before there were only 3s and 2s (rbg was and is a meme) and now it’s sharing its slot with SS and BGB, diluting the pvp playerbase which was never big in the first place.
I don’t think it’s dying, but there is much less people doing it compared to before SS and BGB existed.
giving any real explanation that could makes sense and potentially explain how the discrepancy of 3000 to 2400 rating could be possible in 2 brackets, that are so similar in terms of participation and activity.
That druid? He is speculating with nonsense, miss interpreting graphics which only shows rating percentiles, not realizing that MMR starts at 1500, other than cr which starts at 0.
Can’t be btw. Those numbers are freshly researched!
I can get qs for shuffle and blitz at anytime. (I am up during the night and sleep during the day) As soon as 3am central hits no more 3s queues its only blitz or shuffle. I should probably mention on all my toons I am around 1800-2k mmr in shuffle though so not at the top. Blitz I am lower. So for me 3s just feels deflated I would not say its all dead like RBGs right now but definitely deflated and only dead in the late late night/very early hours.
I think no addons could revitalize arena. It’s not really fun when people have an unfair advantage.
It’s definitely harder to find 3s qs at higher ratings outside of prime time; that’s the biggest reason I don’t push seriously anymore.
That being said, below 1800 Qs are ALWAYS popping.
Not without blizzard implementing most of them into the base UI. I would personally quit arena without any addons if the game was going to be as it is now. Maybe I’m just old, but I can’t tell what is going on without addons with just the base UI.
There is no unfair advantage if everyone has access to them, unless you’re talking about paid addons (which I don’t think there is any relevant one for arena/bgs), or your computer doesn’t have the memory to run the extra addons (not likely but okay).
The advantage, if any, is that some people are more educated with regards to configuring addons, making custom weakauras, etc., but even still, that knowledge can be found via youtube and various wow related websites. You just have to make the effort to educate yourself.
Not when you rely on LFG at that time. The one night I did have friends to q 3s with at around the late night early morning hours qs were longer (compared to normal for 3s not comparing to shuffle or blitz) and we fought the same 2-3 teams.
Really? I conquest geared my lock and sham last night and this morning from like 11pm-4am and noon to 3pm and I found a TON of Qs. I was legit getting annoyed because I didn’t even have enough time to herb/mine because Qs were insta popping.
I also couldn’t even finish my hearthstone games in between finding new teams, so I wasnt sitting in lfg long either. Maybe a day of the week thing, too.
Yes. You must have had a lucky night I didn’t see anything on the LFG list at that time normally but I didn’t try last night I figured there was nothing going on in LFG and just qed some blitz on a couple alts to conquest cap them and one shuffle.
Maybe! There were literally 20+ teams and a SURPRISING amount of healers, all 1650s-2k. Mostly aff locks and SPs trying to find eachother and ferals XD
Ill have to check again tonight maybe this time it will be different in my windows. Ill be doing pvp in the 2am-6am time period tonight.
