I have to agree with this.
And there were more elite players playing Rogue at a high level in WoD and MoP.
I mean dratnos did the interview with IH right next to him. Dratnos used to play Rogue in high level content back in WoD all the time on twitch and youtube streams.
So Rogues right now are in a lose/lose situation where many elite players do not play Rogue anymore and the same is true with casuals.
Current Rogue design is stuck in purgatory where the class design does not appeal to elite players or casuals.
