IoC Exploit

OP epitomizes the kind of player i don’t want to be forced to play eBGs with. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not an exploit…it’s tactics!

Blizzard is probably not ok with demos shooting workshop flag because they fixed a similar problem in IOC during Shadowlands. The horde gunship could previously shoot down to the Quarry flag area and make it trivial to control, so they added an invisible barrier that intercepts the shots. They simply failed to address similar “tactics” that they were likely unaware of at the time, like demos shooting workshop flag, or the alliance gunship shooting at the hangar flag. They will probably add more invisible barriers if IOC gets changes in a future patch.

They also disabled Chain Heal’s ability to heal glaives because they explicitly said they don’t want players healing vehicles. Even when they made this change, Chain Heal was not the only ability that could heal glaives, and currently Evokers and Priests can pump a ton a healing into glaives. They just rarely commit even the tiniest bit of development time toward these BGs.

I can acknowledge that. We all know how bad they are about updating maps and fixing commonly known exploits. Which is what makes the deepwind redesign annoying for me as I think they only made the map worse. Pvp barely gets any resources put into it, which is why solo shuffle was a breath of fresh air.

1-2 evokers can full heal the siege engine in like a minute.

Like that’ll ever happen.

Bit of a difference , you can’t get to the airship to knock the guns off which hit a node . Though why they would shield quarry and not the more important hangar flag is beyond me . Regardless the demo protecting mid can be taken out by attacking Hangar. So not the same.

And chain healing works on glavies again

Additional reasons why it’s not an exploit beyond what has already been stated.
The strategy has a cost of opportunity. By placing a demo or siege on flag protect you forfeit the damage it could be doing to the gates. Players are also needed to operate the vehicle and defend it, presenting additional opportunity costs.
It can be countered by prioritizing initial capture of Workshop (preventing the control of a vehicle) or Hangar (preventing positioning of the vehicle).

There are plenty workable solutions and the strategy is plainly available to all players. Not an exploit.

I can remove all flags, but people don’t seem to like a death match though for some reason.

In no way is this an exploit.

There is no way that this is a real post. I refuse to believe you aren’t trolling.

Not really an exploit though, just creative use of the terrain/high ground provided by the map

Seems like poor design.

Imagine you’re in BFG, and one team takes WW. Then, they can leave zero defenders at another base because they can defend it long-range from WW. That would be ridiculous.

It’s bad if a team can hold two nodes and they can have zero defenders at one of them.

Damn Alec, that’s rich coming from you.

It’s not the same as you can literally win the game with only docks

Exploit is going through the terrain to get to the flag, when the hill has been there longer than you’ve been pvp’n don’t complain, it’s always been a tactic, send rogues to help sap blind, and one pally and watch it die.

Ranged routinely kill that hangar demo by firing through the terrain at it. They use whatever stealth they can to drop down out of sight of the players and range attack.

Players who show nameplates on enemies on will immediately see the demo under attack even through the terrain. Then they can just click the enemy nameplate and attack them right back through the terrain as well. But many players apparently don’t show enemy name plates.

I don’t know how many times I’ve been firing that demo and had some druid or hunter just plinking away at me while nobody else even sees them. Right there, in plain sight if you have name plates showing.

Most people are too stupid to notice stuff like that lol. It’s the same people who try and cap the workshop flag while the demo is shooting it.

The OP ?
