Introducing the World of Warcraft® BlizzCon Guild Clash!

New season on COD with spooky event soon and whatever candy crush is doing is all msft cares about

They are making up fake events for these guilds to compete at. It has nothing to do with the actual game.

Still could be potentially interesting. Kind of like participating in the gnome runs etc.

Back when this whole Esports thing started for World of Warcraft, I thought “nah, this isn’t going to last”.

2023 and it’s still here. :frowning:

Notice the number of openings under eSports. Sign of things to come?

This nepotistic back-channel a bunch of Blizzard staff have with the same handful of players needs to get shut down.

Looks decent but please put Guild v Guild content ingame too

Kinda surprised they didn’t add guild vs guild events years ago tbh. If remembering correctly some guilds on Emerald Dream realm used to make competitive events like this many years ago.

The people above must have some really sad and miserable lives to project their negativity onto something that they don’t have to watch…maybe they don’t realize that their attitude and presence in the game is actually the worst part about WoW.

Buuuut on another note I’m hype glad to see IRL events coming back! Should be really sick can’t wait

Possibly because it’s content that only a small part of the playerbase would be able to take part in. You’d have to belong to the right kind of guild and probably be a favored member in order to participate.

For me it’s more about the negative aspects of the back-door relationship between Blizz and a few players that DO affect us. For example, the upcoming nerfs to healers in 10.2 seem entirely because a handful of top-end healers complained to Blizzard that healing is too easy and needs to be more stressful.

Stop tryign to make this game an Esport. Esports is partly responsible for the decline of this game and taking the fun aspects out of this game to cater to the top 1% demographic.

Maybe Blizzard should ask themselves why Classic is so popular.

Could care less about the same 20 people constantly being shown at events over and overt again. I could care less.

It would be nice if the community managers actually take the information gained from this post by players and bring it to the attention of developers so we can actually have a fun game again.

This is my main complaint. Tuning being done around the .01% of high end elite players while the rest of us have to deal with a harder, less fun game because a handful of people have an outsized hold on the ear of the developers.

Whoa whoa whoa, hang on just a minute here… Kubzy is healing for Echo now? Or is this a one time thing? Where is Mehhx!?

I feel like the exact opposite has been true. So much effort has been put into making healers life easier in dragonflight. PvP trinket changes to give more main stat to healers, precog, nerfing almost all big MS effects, larger HP pools. Healing just isn’t as fun of a role because you can only extend the game you can’t really end the game. There’s only so much they can do about that. A healer shouldn’t be able to keep their team alive forever then we’d just have games that go to damp every time and that’s not fun either. The effort is there and there’s been a ton of good steps in the right direction.

The 10.2 changes are gunning for PvE healers, specifically.

They have told us many times that they don’t develop the game based on what players want. They develop what they want to develop. Sometimes that involves an interesting challenge to the developers, but not so much to the players who end up with untested content. And they just might be developing guild vs. guild technology because they think it will result in more players joining guilds. Which I kind of doubt is going to happen, since none of their previous attempts at incentivizing guild membership had much of a positive effect.
