You keep throwing this argument out about how the game is supposed to be experienced, yet you seem to not comprehend that not everyone wants to play the game the way you do, or has the same expectations for the game.
For them the game may have a totally different meaning. Each player has that freedom, they can play how they want.
To insist that the only right way to play is the way you personally feel it should be played is the problem.

If this is truely your stance, they why do you have an issue with boosts? They paid their $15 a month, if they want to boosts, than as you put it “More power to them.”

If those 1000s of hours isn’t doing simple leveling then I’m not interested. Spells, combat, and dungeon strategies are entirely different than in Classic. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to want a tank who knows that Hellfire Ramps is Hellfire Ramps and not have the go-go-go mentality of a +15 Necrotic Wake.

I know people will decry “gatekeeping” but I think it’s not always a bad thing. Would you really want a surgeon operating on you that flunked medical school? I mean technically not letting them in is “gatekeeping” so since this is always bad we must remove any sort of restriction!
While yes people can claim “you can just read all the info in a guide” there is a big difference between reading something and doing it yourself. Also some things you’ll learn better by doing it yourself.
As far as “well I played this character back in vanilla so I don’t need to relearn” This argument is more valid however a refresher course couldn’t hurt as people forget things. Also how can you prove certain people played it back in the day and thus should be allowed to boost while completely new players shouldn’t be.
I personally leveled up from 1 as well back in the day but it was amazing how many things I had forgotten in 15 years and leveling up from 1-60 was a worthwhile experience.
Didn’t say anything I was giving an example of players gatekeeing other players. Don’t get me started on the difference between player vs player and player vs players lol… also people are willing playing a classic game that had bare minimum QoL changes but are asking for QoL changes… du faq???
