Instantly Swapping Mounts

So on my mage I am using my Magnificent Flying Carpet but anytime I am now mounted and ‘land’ it automatically switches to the Brewfest Kodo Mount? Is only happening on this character and I just ran the Repair tool–said nothing need fixed. Have logged in and out and this is now happening for days…

Really annoying as the Kodo cannot fly…what gives?

You must be using the Brewfest Hops, which converts your current mount into a ram or kodo for an hour. Check your buffs and you should be able to right click to remove it, or if you ascend from the ground as soon as you mount instead of delaying you can avoid the conversion and fly normally.
