I do find your forum post quite spirited and humorous. Questions, when you say casual what kind of casual do you mean? As in a social guild casual? Casual Raider type? Do you guys do guild focused activates? Are you serious about starting raids next year? I’ll explain, well this is not a guild app, it’s just telling you about me, where I come from, and asking what kind of guild you are.

I played Wow from 2004-2022, I came back about 2 months ago to find out how the story goes and perhaps find new guild. I come from Haomarus where I was in a guild for over 7 years. Eventually the game wore down people and the GL started to only log in every few months. In Legion eventually there was not even enough people to raid anymore, so I xfered joined a guild my friend was in. Eventually healed a +12, and got ATOC Gul’dan (that was the last time I raided consistently). The guild was very talented but the raid leader became obsessed with logs and started to foster a very toxic dog eat dog environment with led to nasty behaviors, people started sniping heals, or what ever to make themselves look better than the next guy, ETC. Well that’s not what I call fun, so I went back to my old guild which was just then a Social guild. And like many guilds BFA more or less finished us off once we could not swap specs anymore to fill roles. From there we had 5-6 of us that were there. Shadowlands I did the solo me thing, since the guild was dead.

Present day, one of my old guild mates came to Area 52 and suggested I come too, funny thing, he’s a very very busy man and hasn’t logged back on since LOL. But at least the server is alive. Anyway what I ran into were guilds that more or less were inviting players and what I found is these guilds are what my old guild was in Shadowlands, just a few guys sticking it out and they don’t actually do anything from what I’ve seen.

I got no reason to stick around in this game if I don’t find a guild that’s actually, well, a real guild. Meaning they actually do things together. When my old guild died I lost my reason to play the game. I’ve never been some Uber M+ guy, in fact I’ve tried to avoid M+ but I’m not against doing them, just I dislike how bent people get over them.

I’ve done just about everything there is to do in my time playing the game. From Tanking many years ago, DPS most of the time, and I’ve healed an Xpac or two. I like to level alts, and I will frequently level and play what ever a the guild needed. When I came back the game is very different so I’m no expert on how the game currently plays nor have I ever been an expert.

But I am looking for a guild that at least plans to raid and means it or does something together. More or less Normal raids is good enough of that’s all they do. But these what I call Zombie guilds are eating me up.

Also, what is it you guys need more or less, ya everything might be welcomed, but most of the time it’s one area that’s really holding back a guild from stepping a foot forward.

Hi Rikeir, I apologize for the delay in responding to you, I just returned from traveling on holiday.

There’s alot to unpack here and I think most of your questions are answered on my original post, however to try and give a better meaning;

  • We BS on discord, play games, and go back to our lives, we are actively playing, but I can’t tell you 6 months down the line if WOW content slows down, that people won’t be playing something else, but we will still probably be BSing in discord and waiting for more content.

I’m planning to do normal raids, will it go well? not provided an answer
We don’t need anything specific, we will make it work. Play what you find the most fun.

Hello Rakamin!

I wanted to reach out and first say hello. I have come back to your posting time and time again over the last few days. My wife and I have had some struggles in finding our glorious purpose in game after some differing opinions in the guild we are in. I was hoping maybe to have a conversation with you regarding your group and their goals for the upcoming season. Insight is just off from its national conference of the Insight steering committee 2024. We are poised to see new initiatives and growth in 2025! Join us for our shareholder meetings where we do mythics, raids, delves, and generally act like a bunch of 5 year olds trying to decide on which one to do for 2 hours. See you there~!

What days/times do you run keys and have you set the times and days for raids yet?

Coming back from a break and looking to DPS or heal in raids in raids and would like to learn to tank keys if you all had room

Hi Truest! It just depends who is on, typically the guild is most active between 3-8pm PST but we dont have any game play or time requirements.

We don’t have much information on raiding, this will be discussed and focused on the first few weeks of January when we can get the most guild input for times/days.

Any role is welcome and we try to get everyone involved in activities. We just brought 2 long time players into mythic dungeons for the first time to show them the ropes.

Reasons you might not want to join:

  1. You don’t want to be around folks that might eventually become friends

  2. You don’t like to laugh

  3. You are a serious mythic raider and want all the best stuff in the game

However if you do want to make friends, laugh, and generally have a fun time playing the game, come check us out!
