Why is the cap so low? I often will get a reward of “100” which ends up actually being a reward of zero or 5 because the cap is 100. Couldn’t this cap be raised?
The only thing I use this for is to travel around and I never use that many of them. The point is that it makes you feel like you wasted your time when it is the reward and you don’t actually get them because you already reached the low cap.
The cap can be raised and it will probably not be raised any time soon because they like to put as little effort into the non-group content as possible.

Yea. I have probably not received 99.0% of ones I’ve been awarded. Very annoying. Additionally, you would have to spend all of your rubies in order to get full benefit of the 100 ruby reward.

Why is it that some of my characters in shadowlands can not see the pony vendors or the gargoyles? I thought it was account unlocked?
Possibly phasing. I know the one just west of Darkhaven is notorious for it (the one at the end of the parachute WQ)
Pretty sure both quest and WQ causes some to phase unfortunately. Carriages seem to largely not have any issue.
The “boot” vendor in Darkhaven sells trash-quality boots for 5 rubies apiece. You can drop 80-90 rubies on the plate boots and vendor them for a few hundred gold. That’s about the only other use I’ve found for them, beyond lighting a brazier in the Endmire to clear your debuff after waiting for Famu the Infinite to spawn.
I probably wasted 1000 today between all my alts. They are pretty much usless, there is a pet that costs 99 or 100, The Count.
Other than that they are never used by any of my toons, even the ones that are Venthyr.
I use them to ride the bats up to high places, or a get lift with the gargoyles down from high places. I bought the permanent map that lets me see when ruby “purchases” are near.
If you don’t have the bat pet yet, you can blow all 100 on trying to summon it I think? …maybe it’s 50… iunno, I just remember there’s a bat and it takes a lot of rupies. …Maybe we need to unlock the gorgron wallet?
You need them for ember court quests too…
I’m not Venthyr on the character I’m playing so a lot of the things aren’t there for me to buy.
I don’t mind since all I really use them for are the 5 ruby bat shortcuts since I’m not in the cov… but I wouldn’t mind more uses.
Those sin stone shards fill up my currency section as well, they seem to be even more useless.
I have tons of them because I was going to grind Avowed rep for the mount, then I found out the mount is convenant locked, so yep, they’re useless. I don’t know why blizz does stuff like that…
There should be no cap on rubies. It’s just annoying lol
