By definition, it was an exploit seeing as progress was being made faster than intended, but most didn’t realize it was. Only Blizzard really knew. Elites dropping more and better loot isn’t a new concept. So I can understand them trying to play it off as no big deal and giving players a pass.

This is not even close to the impact of frog farming nerf in MoP to be honest. 10m is actually incredibly generous and I think it was done on purpose to ensure they didn’t hit innocent people like they did with the nerfs in MoP.

I’m at 100k with a job and family so I’m SOL I guess. They should keep the boost in place till 10 million, then limit farming.

I always love when LIMITED TIME FOR FUN game modes undergo more scrutiny and fine tuning and balancing than the live version of the game. Truly remarkable.

Be honest here. Everyone knew. You can’t earn like 100x the rate of other places in the game and think “this is absolutely intended”.

I have 4 days of /played to be over 10 mil i dont understand why im getting nerfed, more than half my IP is from M+… This is actually downright dirty.

Um I’m 74 and not even close to Unlimited Power 4. How is arbitrarily deciding 10 million is the line in the sand even remotely fair? First Druid Forms, now this?

I’ve done nothing but legitimate gameplay and I’m at Infinite Knowledge 15… I didn’t farm the isle etc… I also have 5 lvl 80 characters already… You playing at a slower pace is nobody elses fault. Different people have time to play at different paces. Just enjoy the game and don’t worry about how fast or slow other people are playing it.

This is about other people gaining a significant advantage in the same game mode. They are literally able to farm content faster than me now and complete the content faster than I will ever be able to.

This community sucks.

because i have 109 hours in the game already… it shouldn’t be stolen from me just because you can’t put that same amount of time in…

How does that effect you in a game mode where you’ll be able to solo everything eventually too? Just play at your own pace… You have another 96 days to get as strong as they are. It’s not a race to be stronger than other people before they can get stronger than you… It’s a game mode where none of this is going to matter other than the Tmogs and Mounts that you unlock.

Y’all need to wait for the other shoe to drop. Back in MoP: Remix first they nerfed the cloaks of the biggest offenders, and then they made adjustments for the rest of the plebeians to make threads more plentiful and give the illusion that they were closing the gap.

We’re following in MoP’s footsteps so far, just need to wait for that additional adjustment to show the devs “really do care.”

  1. The elite farming was specifically called out by the community (including large “partnered” content creators) when this was in testing. It was directly stated that “Players will abuse this when it goes live.” and nothing was adjusted. This is not the players’ fault. This is just another example of players playing the game and Blizzard going “No no no. You can’t do that. Fun detected.”
  2. 10,000,000 Infinite Power? That’s still significant. I haven’t done any of the above activities beyond the scope of “expected”. I’m only 2.6M Infinite Power, Knowledge 24, and ilvl 669 artifact. “We’re nerfing the people who played like this but… it’s not going to change their gameplay.”

You missed the point. With the nerfs it will take me much longer to do the SAME content they did, trivializing my already limited time.

Who needs GMs when “community” members will pull you down from the banana pole.
