Whatever the design for fire mages is it has made them incredibly self-centered and I really wish they would shut up.
You’ve got one of, if not the most powerful spec in the game wanting you to do a big pull every minute to blast through a dungeon… Why not just do it?
Shut up and pull. 
If this is a repeated experience, the problem might be that you’re pulling too slow.
If your group can handle 10, why not pull 10? Going faster means you can make a lot more mistakes and still meet the timer.
I assume they have a hot streak proc and they just don’t want to waste it
However today I must admit I was pulling mobs
However it was in a normal dung and I was on my max level hunter and I could solo trash packs and the server was going down
I apologised in advance for what I was doing before I started mowing down all the monsters
Where do you find all these mages??? My guild is SCREAMING for mages and warlocks but can never find them. Its all boomies, pallys, and hunters.

Haven’t done any dungeons in this xpac yet but in BfA it took cooperation from the tank (mainly timing around Combustion) for fire mages to do decent damage. Dunno if that’s still true but this behavior could easily be carryover from BfA.

fire mages do exponentially more dps the more mobs there are considering they have uncapped AoE, some others have uncapped AoE as well but fire mages have it fairly easy with their short CD allowing them to be almost on command with it.

No, you cant. Mistakes in mythic+ kill keys and when I am progressing, which I usually am, one wipe is a dead key. Most groups defer to safe pulling on progress when pugging. I should know, I ask them where its relevant.
I was on NW +16 Fortified on some of the hardest trash in the game with people whose DPS has NOT been stellar and I am bad cause I am not double pulling.
The mages do not have the context required to demand anything of me, its ridiculous. They dont get it. If I can pull more, its happening. If I cant, its not.
Guess players these days favor the glitz of hybrids and pet classes over “boring” pure classes like mages…
But they’re Fire Mages, so if you pulled more their damage would be better.
Not all tanks can do big pulls some just die in the setup, most firemages think all tanks are dh tanks, also there is a lot of animosity towards them becouse of their fotm class status in both pvp and pve theres also the thing with blizz forgetting to put an aoe cap to them
My experience last expansion and this one is that most fire mages are trash tier fotm rerolls who do barely more damage on boss fights than the tank and often times less on trash. Moonkins are a close 2nd this expansion for trash fotm rerolls that have no idea what they are doing. Seeing 215+ moonkins end keys with 4k dps or lower and using none of their utility.
It’s not forgetting, most casters don’t have an aoe cap. Is there some? Sure, but most of the caster spells have no cap.
oooh boy, another god complex tank that has a hissy if anyone breaks rank in a dungeon or tries to enjoy their cooldowns.
Yep. In fact if one looks at the classes that did and didn’t get capped, it’s basically reverting to the AoE+cleave lineup of the past (WotLK I think). The classes that aren’t capped now never have been, and those that are used to be.
well you know, no one pulls aggro quite as well as fire mages so just… you know… let em have it. kinda fun watching them blink around then iceblock. 
Why would I not have a god complex as a tank though? If your key breaks, because you won’t stop trying to subvert the tank, the tank will be into another key before you can finish typing “bad route”.
