This is a very strange announcement.
So, they saw people post something like:
“OMG, I did so many mythic+, and all I got was 35 anima”
and their response was “ok, we’ll increase the anima amount”
Like, they totally completely missed the point - people weren’t complaining about the low amounts of anima…

If you really think Ion or anyone under him sat down and decided they needed to make a big deal about anima drops in dungeons, you are the one who has no clue. The people who do the real design are already working on patches. Almost all hotfixes are done by a maintenance team.

I’m sorry but why are you willing to settle for such an insulting amount of anima?
+2 to +6: 500 anima
+7 to +9: 750 anima
+10 to +15: 1000 anima
Even then, there is still no incentive to do multiple M+ per week.

You can level up covenant gear using anima up to ilvl 197. Same as honor…

Here is some feedback, IT STILL ISN’T ENOUGH. You have items that cost thousands of anima EACH, and every single covenant upgrade is now over 10k or more EACH.
1190 anima from a full clear is barely enough to cover the weekly. Unless you go through every single WQ for anima daily, which will still only net you around 8-10k anima a week from what I’ve done personally, that’s not even enough for a single upgrade to the covenant after the first two for each node.
There are FOUR nodes, one of which has FIVE upgrades instead of three like the rest, and those 2 additional tiers cost 27K combined!
You’re telling me I need to clear Castle Nathria over 22 times just to have enough anima to, what, do a little bit more of what I’ve been doing, but slightly harder versions of it, for months already? Or alternatively I need to do each and every last anima WQ for more than THREE WEEKS straight??? For one node 3 upgrades in already?
This doesn’t even begin to touch on the cosmetic items, which are 88k anima in total for my Shaman. This is absolutely outrageous. Hell, none of this touches on alts, either.
You won’t give us more loot, and you insult us with the laughable amount of anima it should’ve been from the beginning.
Well over 150k anima needed to complete ONE alt’s covenant experience for ONE covenant and you thought 35 anima per boss was justifiable… what a joke. 105 per is barely noticeable now that we need 10s of 1000s just to unlock a set of armor or finish the upgrades. The world boss people literally faceroll their keyboards to beat nets them 250 alone and has LFG.

Each item is 35 anima.
Mythic+ 7-9 = 70 anima
Mythic+ 10 = 105 anima
Nathria Bosses 1-8 = 105 anima
Nathria bosses 9-10 = 175 anima

To be fair to Blizzard, I am happy with more Anima rewards, but think there needs to be a bit more, or the cost of covenant upgrades brought down slightly.
