Increase tank threat

1.) Warriors are dog :poop: right now, especially damage wise. Their azerite traits in BFA synergized really well with tclap, and it got nerfed pretty hard to bring it in line with other tanks. Now, the azerite is gone and the “t” in tclap stands for tickle.

2.) That being said, you can still give it an A for effort. Make sure to abuse the fact that when you taunt a mob you gain like 800% threat to it for the duration of the debuff. When you pull a new pack, taunt shield slam a mob (the big one if there is a priority target) and you will never have to look at it again. In 6 seconds you can taunt again if a mob tries to run, and in the meantime you can Shockwave and storybolt anything you need to keep it off your healers.

Remember, a shield slam into a mob with the taunt debuff = aggro forever.

I pull threat off all but DK and DM . and a few monks and pulloff all

My DK tank rarely loses threat but I do get the warnings that I am about to on some mobs but just target and taunt as it changes and its mine again.

You will need to taunt occasionally to maintain aggro on bigger groups, especially vs big single target guys who want to focus 1 mob.

Spread your big hits around never stay on 1 target too long as the tank and you will hold the mobs.

I’ve tanked a couple dungeons and never had any issues. When I tried healing on my Druid and the tank decided to go full stupid by pulling more than he could handle (and a 60 lock helping him) it got a little chaotic, but I more chalked it up as biting off more than could be chewed.

Zero issues for me while tanking though. Might be because I rotate my tab targeting constantly though too.

Yeah I do , its not easy mode anymore like one stomp and done. Gotta use the taunt and check threat meters now .

Nope. Haven’t seen other tanks have trouble and haven’t had any trouble myself.

I think it’s based on class.

Warriors and druids have more ramp up time compared to paladins, monks and DKs. Unsure about DHs, but their up front burst seems fine.

My druid if I use the night fae ability can do like 3k dps top? Best numbers my paladin had on a pull was 15k+ and I popped everything. It’s just insane how different the tanks are.

So I can see how warriors and druids are having issues and paladins and monks are just not seeing any problems.

They should increase dps threat. Dps shouldn’t be so effortless.

I dont really have threat issues, but i 100% have issues with several healing reduction abilities in theater of pain as a blood dk :frowning:

It’s because tanks lost the threat multiplier from the Heart of Azeroth.

If you wear the HoA at max level, you’ll still get the threat bonus.

The main issue I’ve seen for tanks is a need for a bit more mitigation as some of those pulls can be really really nasty. Even more so if you’re reliant upon someone else to silence and they’ve got more interest checking their phone for a grindr reply. :stuck_out_tongue:

I haven’t had any real issue with it so far. Hell even when I play Havoc, if I give the tank a second or two I can unload AoE and almost never see my threat bars change color.

Warrior is lacking a bit compared to other tanks at the moment so it’s more challenging to keep up your defenses & hold aggro. Not impossible, but it takes a lot more work. Personally warrior is the least brain dead to me and keeps me active, so even if I’m the underdog class I’ll still play it. I love demon hunter visually but it is so dreadfully boring compared to warrior.

I’d like an AOE taunt. No matter how many times I ask DPS to focus on skull, skull is always the last to die,with mages and hunters each focused on other targets.

Warriors have one. Too bad it’s on a 4 minute cool down.

I mean I’d like an AOE taunt. We have swipe, but sometimes Swipe just can’t get agro back from hunters / mages each single targeting their own target.

If you’re losing aggro as a tank, 9 times out of 10 it’s an issue between the keyboard and the chair

The other 1 is the mythic geared Ret Paladin going John Madden on the word go
