So I started binging the event at the start of August and leveled characters at a rate of ten levels every half hour. Then I noticed a few days ago that the experience I get per memory is half, so about five levels per half in an hour. Did I reach a limit on how many characters I can level up, or was the experience gained in Radiant Echoes reduced in the last patch?
Dont do in chromie time
I haven’t been, but is there a limit to how much experience you can earn doing echos before it’s reduced
Yea they share an event server with AT&T. It’sa known issue to get experience throttled once you hit your cap for the month
So I tried again after a few hours, and for the first four memories on Dragonblight, I got tons of experience and gained almost two levels. Then the gain reduced again, and it took me another three memories to raise half a level. Is anyone else having this problem?
I don’t think every memory gives the same XP. I always get a lot more for mini-bosses than killing mobs or clicking things.
I will test this because by paying attention to how much I get from a task compared to a mini-boss. Thanks for the feedback.
If you want a true test of exp, do the same few bosses in each zone like 3-4 times each and write down the exp gain and count that only. It shows you the EXP you get per kill + per memory completion so why is this a mystery?
It doesn’t require testing, just look at the EXP you gain each time you do a memory. You can even use a levelling addon and reset the exp tracker in between or something.
do the thing, look in your log, see the EXP gain. there’s your answer.
Anecdotally my friend leveled a character last week and then again on the weekend and said it was “way faster now” … shrug. I did 2 characters from 50 and 60 and they both seemed the same to me.
I will Check the log, but I just did Arthus, which has always given me less experience than regular memories in the zone. He gave me about 1 1/5 of a bar, and he used to give me a third for weeks. Plus, mini bosses and task memories give me the same amount now.
If you’re completing tasks, but you don’t see the objective/progress bar in your quest log, you’re not getting credit for completion, just the individual kills you may get during it. This happens most often right as the event starts, or when you first get to the zone. Fly through an active area and then circle back around so that the objectives will actually show up.
Sometimes it can happen if you fly into a mini event area too quickly as well.
Yes I figured that out a couple days ago, if I fly in and land and I don’t get the objective in question the objective bar I just leave and come back until I do. But like I said I’m actually getting experience it’s just highly reduced from what I used to get. It’s sort of like how when the thing first started at some point if you get a quest more than three times you got reduced experience. At least I think that’s how it was when I started this event. Only now it’s constant no matter how many times I log in during a different round of echoes it’s still the same result half experience from what I can tell.
Are you always traveling with the crowd. People quickly found out that some of the echoes just aren’t worth it at all. So, the crowd tends to ignore those entirely.
Yes I tend to stay with the crowd as much as I can. But like I said I’ve gotten like a quarter of an experienced bar just by doing a mini boss when it used to be about half. And people are always drawn to the mini bosses.
I’m really not sure then.
