This is Classic Aniv, and the “no changes” crowd has largely moved on since 2019. With phases progressing quickly, many players are eager to gear up in alignment with their BiS lists. Implementing a few key changes could significantly enhance the player experience and help maintain raid participation through Naxx and into TBC.
1. Increase Raid Loot Drops:
Increasing the quantity of loot dropped by raid bosses. A 2x multiplier, for example, would not be unreasonable and could greatly assist players in meeting their gearing goals within the shorter phase windows.
2. Improve Loot Table Diversity:
Some class-specific loot appears far too frequently, while others remain frustratingly rare. For instance, in our guild’s weekly MC runs, druid and warlock items drop consistently, whereas certain key items (such as bindings, yes they are supposed to be rare) remain elusive. Adjusting loot tables to ensure a more balanced distribution would make gearing less RNG-dependent and more rewarding.
3. Streamline Access to Ragnaros Loot:
Although Molten Core can be cleared relatively quickly, it’s still a significant time investment for the slim chance of obtaining rare items like Onslaught Girdle or the Band of Accuria. Introducing a way to more easily access Ragnaros, or increasing the drop rates for those rare items, would provide meaningful incentive to keep running the content.
