Yes or No?
Yes, Sin desperately needs it.
Definitely in favor.
Even better, just remove energy altogether lmao.
I genuinely think that rogues would still have less dps and sustain than other classes with infinite energy.
No.
Would much rather have several smaller adjustments, like Relentless strikes, a buff to venomous wounds, and small energy discounts on costs.
Doing something like doubling energy recovery is about as dumb as blizzard coming in with sweeping -50% nerfs when things need tuned. Sin’s energy issues exist solely in longer fights, and ST fights. We have plenty in short fights and aoe fights. Doubling energy doesnt do anything whatsoever to correct that fundamental imbalance.
Several smaller changes actually have a chance at sustaining us over long periods, without making energy practically infinite in shorter fights.
Another hypothetical suggestion for example; would be having Assassination finishers cost reduce the longer we are in combat. This is the type of thing that would rebalance and directly address the energy issue getting worse and worse the longer fights go on.
There’s bound to be something even more graceful and mechanically precise than this too.
I see your point, however; increasing base energy regen would provide a more consistent solution across all fight types, especially in long single-target fights. Tweaks like adding Relentless Strikes back in or buffs to Venomous Wounds might help, but they’re situational and don’t address the underlying energy starvation problem at its base.
Keep in mind, doubling regen wouldn’t make energy ‘infinite’ in short fights but would smooth out energy generation as a whole, preventing lulls without adding unnecessary complexity.
With Relentless Strikes: While refunding finisher costs is creative, a baseline increase to energy regen would keep Rogues more fluid and intuitive in its entirety across all specs no matter the content you do. And you wouldn’t require an additional hotkey to press.
You fundamentally do not understand how the game (or basic math) works if you think rogues occasionally being limited by energy is in any way a factor in how well they are tuned at any given moment. Those are two entirely separate things.
Just for example, if you doubled the damage of every single rogue ability but kept energy exactly the same, rogue would be by far the strongest class in the game…and would still occasionally have to wait a second or two for energy to come back.
I don’t agree with you, and think your suggestion would be worse. But it doesn’t matter. I don’t know if anyone told you, but devs do not read the forums. Posting any suggestions here seems to be a complete waste of time.
It’s a place to socialize and talk. I think pretending coming to any consensus here ‘helps’ or anything is misguided. We’re just hanging out. Agreeing or not agreeing about anything here doesn’t matter. We could have 100% of all wow players want something…even demand it, and until it actually impacts the bottom line and dollars coming in, blizzard won’t care.
Me want dps go brrrrrrrrr!
Me sick of playing grand piano simulator me want roll face!
Me want make things explode in pool of poison!
