I would say Warrior is more classic rock.
Both would be classics (in role and in music) but both still awesome
You and I have a very different idea of constitutes gothic rock

Not always, but definitely for the Alliance. I would offer these, for the Horde’s best races.

Paladins are Power Metal specifically. Any other type of metal does not fit them at all but power metal is perfect lol. Some power metal is amazing and some is cringe. Just like paladins.

Shaman is folk/folk metal imo. Not my favorite type of music but it kinda fits. Can’t think of anything else.
Also, I think warrior is better described by nu-metal. At least the stereotypical meathead warrior subgroup. 
The subgenre game is largely smoke and mirrors. It’s pretty obvious what the op meant and that’s fine. I mean, I agree that I don’t think evanescence is gothic rock but especially for the purpose of the post it was good enough to understand what he was going for.
Heavy metal fits every class. Especially Archspire imo

i wanna just list off the classes, and what music fits’em, but… taste in music is subjective. like, i was trying to figure out what music fits each class (was sittin here for a good couple minutes listing some out!) but then i realized ‘oh yeah… both factions get this class’ and suddenly some of my choices did’nt fit (like, the alliance battle-march for paladins. fits my draenei well, not so much my zandalari… zuldazar’s music works best for him).
i will say though, dragonforce is a REALLY good choice for undead hunter.
(seriously, my best memory of WoW, i was on my undead hunter, riding across the dunes of tanaris, my spider clikker following faithfully as dragonforce blared in the backround… damn, did it feel awesome!).
oh, and the entirety of the wandering isle and peak of serenity music is best for monks. thats all i got. it fits’em too well imo.
