I know that it’s a super old boss, and usually I have no issue finding work arounds to kill it on various alts (I can kill it just fine on my hunters, my druid, my evoker, and my mage) but I just cannot seem to find a solution that works to kill him on my priest. I can freeze him just fine with Mind Spike (no idea why that counts as frost damage but hey, if it works it works) but even with a dagger and offhand equipped, I am not fast enough on my melee to kill him. I also have two Pandaria trinkets that I read were supposed to help (the ones I’m using are the Terracotta Fragment and Martar’s Magnifying Glass) and pop my Shadowfiend, but the guardians summoned by the trinkets seem to die instantly. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Mind Spike deals Shadowfrost Damage, which counts as both Shadow and Frost damage simultaneously.

I did this for my pally.
In kung li summit there is a rare that drops a trinket “crate of kidnapped puppies”. This works perfectly for the hits needed to kill him when he is frozen.

I’ll give farming that a try. The two trinkets I am currently using also come from Pandaria, but they only summon one minion/guardian each, and both seem to die rather quickly.
I’ll give that a go!
