In hindsight, the war effort kinda sucks

Let’s not get crazy. The war effort is no where near that bad.

True dat, and it ends eventually.

I’m 32, I played classic when it was current too, and there’s a reason I’m playing Classic in the first place instead of BFA.

Imo this does not fall under the “charms of older MMOs/WoW before it got all easy and casual”.

It’s a time gate that I basically flipped a coin as to whether I’d raid AQ sooner or later when Classic launched.

The quest line itself is fine, there’s a lot of cool bits to it and RP events to see. No problem with that, but the fact that there are material requirements that aren’t being met going in to the third week since AQ released, is not purely within my control whatsoever. If the war effort hinged solely on my contribution, the gates would basically never open, and currently while it’s hinging on my entire faction, we don’t stand to get in until the following month. Even the horde who are in surplus, haven’t finished.

That doesn’t feel good, fair, or epic. It just feels arbitrary and punishing for my choice at the realm select screen 1 year ago.
