The improved integrated voice is honestly pretty damn good. Comparable to Discord in quality at least. I would LOVE if it became commonplace for people to hop in it for all group content in the way almost every game of Overwatch has at least some people with mics.
But people are set in their ways about 1 of 2 things in WoW:
- Not using voice at all. Text chat exists and therefore Voice Chat is Satan and interacting more closely with other people is lunacy.
- If they DO use voice, it’s Discord. Before Discord it was Teamspeak, or Vent, or Mumble. People would rather use a 3rd party program they’ve gotten used to that simplifying it to a button press in-game for some reason.
People frustrate me.
