As well it should. Both are emblematic of Stormwind Humans.
I hope there are people enjoying them, but I fear “more storms” aren’t exactly words that fill me with giddy enthusiasm.
Stormwind existed previously. This is a new Stormwind but some number of the reisdents were refugees who had fled into the North during the First and Second wars.
Also, it should be noted that like ~20 years went by between the Second and Third wars. Maybe it is more like 18, I forget. After Stormwind was rebuilt you could have lived there for 40 years or so, IIRC. 40 years is not one generation.
Following the Old Horde’s defeat during the Second War, men returned to the ruins of Stormwind City and began to rebuild the once great city as a testament to their own survival.[21] In time, Stormwind City was painstakingly reconstructed by the Stonemasons Guild, who were contracted by Stormwind’s House of Nobles.[7][22] They restored Stormwind to its former majesty, with white stone being used for its exterior.[23] The city was renamed New Stormwind,[24] rebuilt on the same location as the original capital, though after that the city came to be simply called Stormwind City once again.
The internment camps’ authorities were based at first in New Stormwind under Danath Trollbane.[24] Two years after the end of the Second War, the orcs reopened the Dark Portal and a small group led by Teron Gorefiend entered the city’s library to steal the Book of Medivh. The book, however, had been at that point already stolen by Alterac soldiers and securely placed in the mountainous country.
During the early days of the Invasion of Draenor, Danath gathered all the mercenaries of Stormwind together and marched them to fight at Nethergarde Keep.[25]
Three of the races you listed already have Heritage sets.
I can guarantee people are going to do this whole “but we already have thematic sets” thing again regardless of what race they pick. “Oh, but we’ve had wooden masks for trolls since ZG/ZA! Ugh, the Draenei get another crystal-laden set?”
We all called it…
The day they announced having heritage armor for original races. We kept telling people to just farm warfront armor. But they were so high on copium thinking they were gonna get some commoner mog or an armor set from lordaeron/arathor (literally why humans in the game are stormwind citizens not those ethnicities).
I cannot help but laugh at everyone telling me that my suggestion to farm 8.0 warfront/pvp mog, was not a helpful suggestion.
I don’t think there was any story on adding Priests, Mages and Rogues to a number of races in 10.0. I bet there will be zero story on why Goblins, Worgen and Lightforged Draenai can suddenly be Monks.
I completely agree with this.
And I play human. If you want to get lordaeron or other human ethnicity mog, you should have played mop prepatch for that tabard; get the 4 shields from sepulcher; or some of the mogs that require drop chances (or are removed). Or possibly none, cause the undead do in fact have more claim to Lordaeron than SW humans.
Not completing some “push to the finish line” autocomplete questline that everyone and their grandma will finish on day 1 with thousands wearing the same copypaste mog.
Request: Chance we might get some weapon/shield/off-hand appearances to go with em?
Well…at least you tried

Rogues, Mages, and Priests were first because they were the easiest to do that weren’t already done. Every race has subgroups that have been known for either stealth or piracy (ie, Grimtotems and Longwalkers for Tauren), anyone with a gleam of mental acuity is capable of delving into the Arcane (even Ogres, who are frequently discounted as being stupid brutes), and every faction has some element that does, previously did, or has a “brother group” that worships some form of light or shadow entity (The Highmountain with An’she, the Orcs reconnecting with elements of the Shadowmoon Clan).
Monks are, logically speaking, warriors with a very specific form of training. There really isn’t a reason why any race couldn’t take part in martial arts unless you pin some arbitrary rule on them.
If ya’ll are trying to do the “Plate/Leather” look for the Human Heritage Armor, I’d suggest possibly reusing these armor models. >.>
The Boots:
The Mail boots from Nathria have the leather straps, this would be a much better “base” item to strap those metal pieces too.
The gloves:
Both of these gloves have that more defining, “updated” leather aspect to them while still have the “plate sheet” additions.
This is a rough draft using existing model assets, can really make the set “pop” and feel more modern with adding those extra details.
I don’t know why you thought I needed explaining to but ummm thanks. I am not the one that said that story needed to be added to add classes to races.
Some of those I think they justified pretty well, and some are game mechanics getting the way. Lightforged DK’s are weird though I’ll give you that.
Undead priests should technically only be shadow, but can’t limit an entire race to one spec, and I think they justified Tauren paladins pretty well with the sunwalker stuff. Basically just Druids worshipping the sun instead of the moon.
Really another footman looking armor for humans? Booooring!
Class tuning for the classes you overlooked severely, Frost Death Knight and Survival Hunter
I’m not really sure what you’re trying to argue here?
Bronzebeard heritage is the heritage of the kingdom of Ironforge. Just because it’s named after the ruling clan doesn’t mean it’s not tied to the kingdom. It’s the EXACT SAME as Stormwind. Both Humans and Dwarves have similar kingdom systems.
Also the kingdom of Alterac hasn’t existed since the second war beyond the syndicate, which is just a band of highwaymen, and is most definately not allied with the alliance. I mean, in the second war Alterac allied themselves with the horde at the time.
And Lorderon is similar. There last legacy is the Argent Dawn, and order of the Silver Hand a small group of paladins, but the actual kingdom is ruled by the forsaken now, and is again, most definitely not alliance.
The only human kingdoms that are currently strictly alliance are Stormwind, Gilneas, Kul’Tiras, and Stormgarde. Gilneas and Kul’Tiras already have heritage armor, and Stormgarde aren’t playable. Again, every playable human, the people wearing this armor, are Stormwind humans.
No one will force you to play any race/class combo you don’t want to, I promise.
Alonsus is literally not shadow
Hoping this means that dracthyr get the opportunity to play Warriors or Shaman or Rogues, for starters.
Oh speaking of warfronts, let us solo them already.
It’s pretty hard to get 10 people that want to do them these days.
