In case of an emergency open mage tower

Well you said it’s 100% fact though?

Anything common knowledge is fairly easy to prove and you shouldn’t need things like making guesses at fragments of a community.

If it is a 100% objective fact it should be provable by an official source right?

Like I can google “how much money did activision blizzard make in q4 of 2020” and I would get an objective answer from official sources not made up numbers based on feelings.

I love how them doing something people have requested results in some people complaining. How about you just quit?

Because complaining in the forums is the only content they like.

You were, yes. Hence both your posts where I got a notification that you had replied to me. That’s how the forums work.

Yet, you still can’t mention who you supposedly were trying to refer to while continuing to insult me just like you have for over 20 posts on the forums. Curious.

It is, yep.

Basically you try to imply that if it was common knowledge, you’d have a way to prove it… While you try to steelman your own position of 'WoW hasn’t lost subs" without any evidence of your own.

Then you’d know, the active player count for Blizzard is down. :3

Oddly enough, you came into a post, saw a post you didn’t like, and posted about it. Not taking the own advice you were trying to give in the first place.

Ironic.

  1. never said this.
  2. I can’t prove a negative.

So I’ll wait as long as it takes, I need 2 things from you.

  1. current subscriber count from blizzard
  2. subscriber count for every patch after they stopped reporting them, also from blizzard.

Then you can prove that it is an objective fact that “subscriptions are at an all time low”.

Forever is an awfully long time to wait for such a poor payoff.

Then you’re arguing from a stance you cannot defend, and shouldn’t try to defend in the first place shouldn’t you?

So, I need 1 thing from you. It’s active MAU for Blizzard, look at the trends for each year. It’s lower.

MAUs are indeed, at an all time low. It’s why they keep trying to make up lost money with 6 month sub bundles, cash shop mounts, bringing boosts to classic even though they said “Boosts go against the spirit of Classic” and all.

Maus are blizzard wide though? Now you have an even bigger job of providing proof of the split between games AND also the sub count is “at an all time low”

You asked for the data from Blizzard, you got it. I already gave you ways to parse out the rest of the information, it’s on you if you’re not willing to do what you expect of others.

MAUS at all time low, raid parses at all time low, realm populations down… You can figure out the math

Yeah true, I already know this person is incapable of backing up anything they say and just repeats what the other person said when they are losing.

But that doesn’t prove your theory that “wow subs are at an all time low”.

Closest one we have at the present is this one: https://www.wowrealmpopulation.com/

Active character: Character has logged in within 30 days.

  • All data is gathered from Battle.net API usign guilds and characters info.
  • Characters under level 10 are not counted.
  • EU and USA frontpage recommendations emphasizes english speaking realms, for specific language realms check the realms lists.

EU characters in database: 9 568 466 of which 487 509 is currently considered being active within 2 week period.
EU guilds in database: 9 618 that have at least 10 members that are considered active within 2 week period.

US characters in database: 9 404 767 of which 421 645 is currently considered being active within 2 week period.
US guilds in database: 7 951 that have at least 10 members that are considered active within 2 week period.

Korean characters in database: 1 043 579 of which 50 102 is currently considered being active within 2 week period.
Korean guilds in database: 1 476 that have at least 5 members that are considered active within 2 week period.

Taiwanese characters in database: 971 596 of which 72 505 is currently considered being active within 2 week period.
Taiwanese guilds in database: 1 630 that have at least 5 members that are considered active within 2 week period.

Adding these up leads us to according to this site’s metrics of active in the last 2 weeks to a grand total of 1,031,761 characters active in the last two weeks. This is using Blizzard’s own armory API so make of it what you want.

Characters, not players. At the literal best case scenario, that means there’s just barely over a million people active in the last two weeks assuming all of them have one character.

Except the average player now has probably 2-3 characters. Some people on these forums have more, I know someone I used to play with on Wyrmrest Accord had every class at level cap during BFA on both Horde and Alliance, though Alliance were on Moon Guard.

That’s 24 characters right there on that one player, but they’re an extreme.

If we just assume the average is two characters per player, that leaves us at under 500k subscribers.

Heyyy that sounds like what I always tell people lol.

Takes time to code :man_shrugging:
I always like to tell people that patience is my super power lol.

They need to just open up time walking permanently. There’s really no reason to not.

Just wait. Someone on GD will find a minimum of five reasons.

Depends on what it is. This one was already coded, since they did it in Legion for both ways. Only up sometimes or up all the time, they even extended it in december.

That is not a good source at all, they use social media activity to guesstimate the numbers so their data doesn’t even come from GAME activity. That’s why it has games that are shut down listed as having thousands of players for other websites they run. They don’t use armory or character sheets like they claimed to in the first place. They would have ZERO way of telling from the armory or bnet api if someone logged in or not in the first place.

I have no idea what it takes to make changes to wow. It would be reasonable to assume that it’s a simple change but it’s also reasonable to assume that it’s not because there’s something they’d have to fix so it’s always up instead of closing at certain times :man_shrugging:

Blizzard: "Fine, we’ll open up all classes for races!
People: “But we want new classes!”

I have the cloak but I want the option for TMOG to have the cloak do the cool animation with it rather than just a plain cloak. I picked it for my TMOG merely because it fits the color scheme I have.

Well we got neither for SL, so now we’re due for BOTH next expansion. Plus, finished heritage armor for ALL available races.

Did you like even check the site at all? That site LITERALLY uses the armory for characters played in the last two weeks. I even stated it. Do yourself a favor and either learn to read and follow a discussion or honestly just shut up. I’m on YOUR side here and you’re making me look like an idiot just by being associated to you for sharing an opinion.

FFS I went out of my way to explicitly put the “Uses Battle.net API” at the top of the post and you somehow come up with “guesstimating based on social media.” Like seriously, either read posts or don’t engage in discussion. You’re either just horribly incapable of figuring out how discussion works in general, namely listening/reading what people are saying BEFORE responding, especially since you pulled a lot of random crap out of nowhere completely irrelevant to the post for the sake of arguing. Or you’re some kind of like double agent trying to be a complete tool to shut down an entire side of argument just because you happen to be associated with it. However I am not conspiratorial so I’ll chalk it up to genuine incompetence and you loving to hear yourself, and only yourself talk.
