In a perfect world, what would your SOD DPS Rankings look like?

This NPC is under 5 seconds away from a port in location that you get at level 10. It costs next to nothing to respec and instantly be that role.

Not every class can do that. Deluding yourself by separating “balance druid”, “feral druid”, “resto druid”, “tank druid” out from “druid” is the mental problem you’re facing. They’re not those specific things, they’re just Druid. All of that power allocation goes to Druid as a class. You aren’t forced into any specific spec permanently - you can instantly/effortlessly change it to whatever a group needs/raid needs/composition needs.

I think that too much of the Druid community is trying to compartmentalize the class into specializations, instead of acknowledging it’s an entire class… Mostly because it’s easier to advocate for how weak you if you simultaneously ignore the strengths you have.

Because a warrior would have to level an entirely new character to have a healer. A warrior would have to level an entire new chracter to have a good solo class

You get to do it for 20s and a quick hearth

You can heal a dungeon, then go respec and tank a dungeon, then go solo farm gold, then go provide massive raid utility, etc etc etc

There has to be trade offs

Because that’s literally how the game is designed. No matter how many roles any class can fill, they can only adequately fill ONE of them at a time. No respec is going to change that fact. Which is why it’s unfair to them to suggest they shouldn’t be able to do any role as well as another class that is dedicated to that role

Speaking as the Warrior: cool, I’d love to level an alt if I’m in the mood to play a healer

It’s literally NOT how the game is designed

The game is designed that you have one CLASS that you level and you spend small amounts of your in-game time doing various things (Raid, PVP, gold farm, dungeons, leveling, etc)

It’s not balanced around what ONE SPEC you are performing for ONE RAID on ONE PARTICULAR NIGHT

This is classic where getting an (eventually) level 60 character is a massive time commitment for most

The time you spend outside of raid matters

“Why does it bother you that I get to do anything I want all the time whenever I want because I bought some mediocre greens off the AH, or needed on random items from dungeons claiming “needing for OS” as the entire group groaned but nobody said anything? I should get to do everything I want all the time, always, forever.”

Do you read anything you type?

Do you genuinely believe that you should be able to instantaneously swap to every single role in the game, perform it at equal power to every single other class in the game, and you genuinely consider that fair?

That classes that cannot do that at all, let alone to all 4 different archetypes should be equal to you?

Are you insane? How selfish of a mentality do you have? Do you think other people just flat out don’t matter when it comes to you wanting to do what you want to do? Are you that narcissistic?

You don’t play with talents and gear? Interesting, I’m curious how that affects your performance

Actually, this is Season of Discovery, advertised to be a different experience from base Classic that heavily rebalances the power level of many classes. You must be confused

Rebalances, yes, in the spirit of classic

Meaning warriors not doing 3-4x the damage of boomkin

NOT meaning that every class does homogenous DPS

Druid mains argue in such bad faith, it’s insane

  1. Rogue
  2. Hunter
  3. Warlock
  4. Warrior
  5. Mage
  6. Shaman
  7. Druid
  8. Priest
  9. Paladin

Yes, because no matter how many times the Druid changes specs they’re still only performing one role at a time

Says the person throwing an absolute tantrum over a topic asking for opinions…

Selfish? I don’t even play Druid in SoD, I play Warrior and Rogue

Are you ok? Do you need to tell someone something?

He’s correct. Wild proficiency at all things is not how the game was designed. The game was designed around a checks-and-balanced system that if you’re powerful at certain things, you’re weak at others.

You’re mistaking heavily “feral druid” or “balance druid” for “Druid.” - you’re none of those things. You’re explicitly Druid. Which means you have access to ALL of those things at any given point that you decide to have them. Pretending you don’t is mental gymnastics and personal bias/favoritism over what you want to be strong.

This actually was advertised as a “twist on Classic WoW, building on the core tenants/world from the original game”. It was never, ever, ever advertised as a “new WoW”, new game, blah blah blah. It was actually explicitly advertised as a limited time seasonal event for classic wow

“I don’t even play druid in SOD, I play warrior and rogue”

LOL!

Not sure why you find that so funny but happy to make you laugh I guess?

If you were to use third party websites to look up a player’s assosciated alts - you would probably be able to find out if someone had a mid 30’s Feral druid that didn’t clear BFD until after P2 dropped.

Why do people name their characters the same thing across different servers?

It’s just not true, that’s all

Druids are going absolutely insane right now

clearly warlocks and enhancement shaman (who sometimes tank) should be at the top.

why?

cause thats the classes i play and i want it to be that.

So I hear. Would you feel better if I posted on my Warrior then? Here you go

Level 40 warrior

Did not step foot into BFD phase 1

“Warrior main”

lolololololol

You have good utility as a warrior. You bring battle shout that all Melee wants, sunder, demo shout, rallying cry, commanding shout, intervene, and you have pummel and shield bash.

“hybrid tax”

We playing the same game? This is SoD forums right?

Not sure where you’re getting your info from. My first BFD clear was…I wanna say on the third reset? Can’t recall when we did our first guild run
