Flat Out No on this one… I hate retails AH navigation.
season of discovery…
doesnt mean it has to be the same old WoW… we dont know what it holds, in theory EVERYTHING should be a new WOW factor…
we should have that list the OP mentioned and than some. Heck we get a mount at level 25 for a zone (its kinda of nice even if its only one zone).
I would LOVE more flight paths, but what id really love is portals, do you know how annoying it is when you to go from night elf town to rachet if you dont grab the ashava flight path?!? its about 29 minutes of flying some goofy pattern, but if you grab it, it still over 12 minutes.
Id rather just pay double the flight path fee to click a portal from the flight path guy and instantly go there. - I wanna discover portals!! haha
I play on Era, and I play the current season of Era - called Season of Discovery
Oh i’m so sorry you must be troubled! This is actually closer to retail than era! You might be able to tell with the druids sunfiring people in cat form, the warlocks that look like illidan, the chaos bolts flying through the air and the mages that are healing!
If you want an Era like experience the Era servers are that way! Enjoy parsing on KT!
This is Classic+ as in Classic plus all of those changes that will make the game better and less tedious implemented!
Hope this helps!
Gonna hard pass on this one. Absolutely not, this WILL hurt immersion in many ways and the servers are healthy enough that it is definitely NOT needed.
what is this “immersion” people keep talking about, I’ve seen it all over the posts
Is what people like to use for defending bad game systems that waste people’s time because “muh rpg elements” usually the same people crying about the possibility Of things from retail coming into a game that is already way closer to retail than its predecessor (era)
My comments to your suggestions below:
- More flight paths.
-This is somewhat feasible, but with new FP’s that would require more hub points which I don’t think Dev’s have time to work on. - Increase the speed of the flight path mount.
-No, the thing about classic wow that made it successful is the time synch it required, to move around the world in Classic is and was always to be this grand adventure that took time to navigate. - More graveyards
-This is a good suggestion, easy fix if there are any drastic corpse runs. - More mailboxes in capitals.
-not that big of a deal, most capitals have convienent mail boxes near AH’s, just learn your cities better. - Increased run speed within the capital.
-No, character move speed is apart of the game and when you get your 100 percent movement speed mount, it’s magical. Movement speed is earned, not granted. - Instant mail between alts.
-Yes this is a good idea. How bank heavy vanilla is, this is a good suggestion - Turn meeting stones into summoning stones.
-No, once again its a blessing if you have a warlock in your group and also what makes the fantasy of classic. Navigating through the world is supposed to be a grand thing, not World of Loading screen craft. - Use Retail style auction house.
-Get Auctioneer…
I don’t understand what the AH interface has to do with immersion. The AH suggestion is more about the database and it’s front end UI that really has nothing to do with Role Playing.
I would compare it to the settings UI that has already been updated to match Retail.
I would definitely be interested in knowing what it is about scrolling through 20 pages of mats that you find compelling gameplay or how that immerses you in role play.
i agree with all of OP’s suggestions
Yeah, I was a little surprised that Blizzard didn’t queue up a L25 general world-use mount since end game is Level 25 for this season. Figured it would be a 40% speed mount.
Anyone that thinks classic is immersive…just wow.
These and I’m good.
Guild Bank
Summoning Stones
Instant alt mail
Dual spec
Raid Finder
Solo Queue (BGs)
Eliminate lockouts, just have BoP limits per week
PvP honor gear for each phase to grind that is on par with raid gear
So you want to play retail? It’s included in your sub, check it out.
I disagree with all of OP’s suggestions
Continuing this reply a day later!
I think that if your buddies are saying that, in a level 25 version of the game, then they will never make it to lvl 60 in any version of the game. 25 endgame is relatively painless compared to what you’re going to be doing at 60.
You can realistically have a Ready-to-Raid-Log character in less than 2 days played time, as it is now.
No amount of QoL improvements is going to help you or your friends if they say this is too much of a grind. You should cut your losses and find a new game to play with them.
I would personally suggest Return To Moria, great vibe game with friends.
About the only two things i agree on is the meeting stones and instant mail. Otherwise I really like the slowed Down feel of classic WoW and feel like the other changes Would change it to much. Just my opinion though ![]()
What version of wow do you boot up to access season of discovery servers? That should tell you which version of wow season of discovery is based in
So you want cata? I want all the good and bad that come with classic as is, the problems we see are due to current blizzard thinking something is good enough to ship when it has serious issues like ashenvale having overwhelming alliance favoritism
