Aww. Iâll take that as you canât argue my point.
The OP has zero need to mention auto porting at all unless heâs referring to a modified version of LFD.
Because LFD is literally the only system that autoports.
I know that. But one of them is referring to the vanilla version as a version of LFD which it technically is. However, most people donât recognize it as a LFD because of its limited function. I believe that is matâs contention. Honestly, I think they are arguing the same thing and getting hung up on semantics.
Mat you did see my response saying exactly that right? Logically speaking I believe that is EXACTLY what OP means. A modified LFD tool without autoport.
I see what you mean now, and I get that yes we shouldnât have a whole window for that but like⊠I just donât think op meant as a vanilla LFD minus ports. I guess this is just two people interpreting the same thing differently but he did say modified. Iâm sure if OP sees any of this heâd point at the meeting stone thing and be like âOh yeah, like thatâ
That didnât allow you to find players to form groups specifically for quests. Only the custom group function on the modern LFD can do that. Since the OP specifically mentions dungeons and quests he is not talking about this obscure system that people rarely, if ever, used.
No teleports to the dungeon. No teleports after the dungeon. No summoning stones. Just a very rudimentary âhereâs your group, find your own damn way to the dungeonâ function.
Because that sysysm existed. If you want a system that existed and no one used because it failed and you ended up without a tank and or a healer be my guest.
This thread has gone on for 135 posts with people discussing whether not this should be done, with no one realizing this was already in Vanilla.
Vanilla had an LFG tool, you had to talk to an Inn Keeper to use it. And it sucked so bad that no one used it, and now weâve forgotten it even existed.
