BM hunters are supposed todo more damage than their pets… its just the pets to more damage than if the hunter was not BM… that is all… BM does not mean your pet does 70% of your total damage

To be fair this is literally been the case of BM hunters for a long time, although admittedly at least through somewhat active abilities.

The bigger issue is the latter part of your statement

Honestly I’m not sure why this is a surprise, Wind Serpents have been strong since day 1, especially for PvP.
It’s almost like the problem isn’t the pets themselves but some other scaling/balance issue

It’s because outside of pets, if you go BM as a hunter.

Arcane shot is hard stuck at 30 damage because it doesnt scale.

Poison sting does 80 dmg over 15 secs (no scaling)

Multi shot is our hard hitting skill.

So if you gut the pets…hunters have absolutely nothing but 1 button every 10 seconds.
