and the equivalent ilvl for high keys or mythic raiding required duelist at minimum. could you imagine the tears
im just trying to put into perspective the absurdity of the way pvpers have to gear up currently
oh and btw none of your gear is guaranteed it’s totally rng so you could be forced into doing hundreds of arena games you don’t want to do

so many of them already cry because they have to do arena for conflict and strife, imagine if they had to gear from it

It would be pretty funny. However, people may find out that they actually enjoy the rush of adrenaline from a close game and watching their skill/awareness/winrate increase as they play more - increasing the pvplayerbase.
for mages it does, a 475 badge is BiS for them but i guess mage doesnt really count as a class since they just gpie things down :\
they cry about having to get what 1400 rating? ROFL
I mean the main problem isn’t even a crossover in the game. It’s just that if you’re a pvper you have to invest in a massive amount of PvE to be optimal. It’s not like it’s 1-2 pieces which would be fine, especially some min max stuff I actually am ok with.
It’s just a problem that 90% of your BiS will come from non PvP activities. PvErs might have some BiS from PvP, but it’s usually 1-2 items. Maybe an azerite, or for fire mages it’s a badge. Nothing crazy. That’s totally fine imo, they’re not forced to do it, but if they want to min max it helps.
Doesn’t compare with how it is for PvPers though which is where the system went horribly wrong.
Personally if they want to integrate a balance between PvPers/PvErs to min max or w.e I feel like WoTLK outside of certain trinkets and smourne being too crazy was fine. Way more options all around.
Current system is just bad across the board. It doesn’t let PvPers have good gear from their environment, and without resil they have forced themselves in a really bad position where they don’t want PvP gear to be that insane because it’s way more controllable, but then trying to not cause PvE problems screws PvP over. Unlucky.
i didn’t mean for this to come off as a condescending post towards pve, i personally enjoy m+ and raiding here and there, i just wanted to put into perspective the absurdity of the current state for pvp players
like the amount of time i’ve invested this expansion in to m+ and raiding compared to the time i’ve spent doing arena is ridiculous

Templates. Let your “role playing “ in PvP consist of mastering your character, strategies, and coordination with your team to emerge victorious over the competition.
I absolutely agree lol. 95% of my bis comes from PvE, and not PvP.
An azerite piece, a weapon (technically there is a raid equivalent), and a ring (plenty of M+ equivalents and raid equivalents). When I run maledict or battlemaster that’s another time PvP gear is best… otherwise lol.
It’s a joke. I could have my entire BiS except for an azerite piece exclusively from a combination of M+ and raiding. Actually there’s an alternative to my BiS azerite pieces that could be from raiding so there’s that.
It’s troll when the best way to get gear as a PvPer is doing as much PvE content possible. I don’t mind the content but if I just wanted to arena I’d be screwed massively. It is unfair.

I agree in the past especially TBC- Wrath this was the case. In PvE you maybe wanted a 2 socket belts so with BS you could have 3 sockets. Or you wanted a 2 piece set of something to compliment your PvP set. This was fun and a part of Min/Maxing in an RPG.
However the main power and viability of PvP gear needs to be prominent. There absolutely needs to be PvP sets bonuses. 2 pc, 4pc etc and maybe go back to having trinket buffs.
Having Trinkets as talents was a massive mistake from the Devs. It basically allowed everyone to now run double Dps trinkets. Or a Tanking and Dps trinket really just messing up the game and comps.
We need to go back to actually wearing PvP trinket that removes a CC. Plain and simple. Trinkets are ALWAYS one of the most powerful slots and in PvP we all should be wearing our PvP trinkets that removes an affect. Or play risky and double Dps like the old days. However now there is no risk. Anyone can pair up any OP trinket combo.
