I have played every iteration of Classic outside of the original SoM and Era. If you cede to filth then filth is all that remains. Itās not the fault of the game itself that horrible, nostalgia-addled people are drawn to it.
I also frequent āthereā. These are equally my forums since I also play Classic.
Thatās perfectly fine, and why era servers are there to begin with. Idk if Iāll enjoy this new season but Iām def open to trying it, and if it isnāt great Iāll be leveling elsewhere as well
Well, I helped him and then did call that out because I didnāt understand why others like you didnāt help him. To be fair a few people were nice and I said that too.
I got 4 likes for that too and a PM from my old Wrath forum friend giving me props.
That advice should be offered and should be every time a thread like that is made and threads like that get made a lot. Itās pure laziness not to educate.
On this thread, I see what you mean now about that other post I hadnāt read yet but that does not mean that the OP deserved to be called āfilthā for what he said in this thread. The reply didnāt justify it either IMO.
Most of the āVanilla fansā I know donāt like SoD much. 
I hope we finally get Wrath and TBC Eras. Because Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath was the Old World Eras of World of Warcraft.
Cataclysm was the beginning of all the best zones destroyed.
I play era and retail and wonāt be playing SoD. Itās just not at all something Iām interested in, especially with 10.2 still being very new on itās release.
Itās still a neat idea and I think a lot of people will have some fun out of it as a season. Plus, for the classic+ crowd, this could serve as a type of beta/sandbox for blizzard to test ideas. Over all, sounds like a good thing and Iām happy for those whoāll enjoy it.

Some people do think that. They can think whatever. I can be snarky but thatās mostly to the people who are rude first or forum trolls. Or sometimes I can be more generally with my rants admittedly.
I really do try to help people though and be open-minded for the most partā¦ and positive.
I wish you and other Wrath regulars would educate people about the free transfers even if they donāt try to help themselves. It would go a long way to make the community look less toxic and honestly, a lot of the new people just come here frustrated.
To the other comment, Iām not a fake person and I donāt lie. The people who donāt like me the most tend to be mean to others on here. Many brag about laughing at people and forum trolling. Almost everyone who does not like me fits this. My personality type is infp. Some people donāt get it.
This is the forum for general Classic discussion, and SoD falls under the Classic umbrella.
Not sure what about anything Iāve posted makes you think I care about or respect what people like you appreciate.

Yeah I love the era community and really enjoy these forums - even fun to post on when it gets wild on days like today.
However, if we had forums clearly labeled as era I think it would be a bit easier for our community to show consensus on the things that are important to the health of era servers.
Overall it seems most of the era players are more in alignment than people often make it out to be - there may be disagreements but they are mostly on the margins and we all want success and continuation of era.
i hope classic era never goes away. Its awesome and they(blizz) can do whatever they want with retail, classic +, HC i dont care just dont touch classic era. I need to have a place to go back to if all the other stuff blows
Agreed. When I started visiting here again these forums were like a night and day difference to the Wrath ones that I was frequenting (those used to be ok too, but they got really bad). There are just some great people here. I know I can be passionate about things like the PVP system, and we all have our off days, but overall everything has been just mostly chill.
I also think that itās really important to preserve what Era offers.
