After reading this thread, maybe, for each new expansion, Blizzard could create several new dungeons and a number of repeatable chained quests that are available ONLY to lvl-capped players (while waiting for the raids to unlock) … and make these dungeons and repeatable chained quests scalable not for level but for solo vs party … this would incentivize players to keep at least one toon leveled and give lvl-caps some fun content not available to anyone not leveled? Maybe would work? The idea of repeatable chain quests would be to let lvl-capped players try the quests solo and in groups.
I’m sorry Boneskulls, but 8.2 is a whole lot of fun, and terrific so far.
Two new zones, that are both fun without flying and fun with flying. Lots of new quests and new kinds of quests. Amazing landscapes.
Anyone who doesn’t enjoy these is probably sick of MMOs. Is there some other game that you like better?
Or are you comparing 8.2 with “an imaginary wonderful fantasy MMO that only exists in your mind”? Yeah, compared to that, 8.2 is awful!
That all depends if the Mythic Word Championships (E-Sports) tournament is completed by then or not.
Could you imagine if the Lead Developers tried to change things up in mid season… Boy, you sure would see a lot of whining then.
All the top Raiders and Mythic teams would have to change out their entire team make ups to complete the runs…
Ya. Get rid of world quests, artifact power, artifact relics, M+ dungeons, island expeditions, turtle type quests, matching rune quests, maze quests, draw a circle with your mount quests, warfronts, and just streamline raiding for gear. Bring back the vanilla arts of ccing and dps kill order. This game was fantastic when it started, it all went to hell by the third expansion and got worse with every innovation after that. Keep the raid loot personal, that’s about the only improvement. Ashran was fun once you learned it but nowadays most people don’t have time to do a long bg like Ashran with all the other crap to learn. THERE IS TOO MUCH TO DO. STREAMLINE the game so people can enjoy alts without having to be timegated 3000 ways .
3rd expansion was Wotlk which most (if not all) of what you described was still there that made the game great. I can’t count the number of wipes because the other dps were too dumb to down the healing mob or the heavy hitter even with end content gear.
But other than that yeah I agree with everything you said.

WoW Classic has been so nice to play an actual RPG. It’s a shame blizzard has strayed so far from the RPG roots of the game to turn it into some abomination of its former self.

REMOVE E-SPORTS FROM THE GAME AND CONDENSE RAIDING INTO A SINGLE RAID TIER
MAKE OPTIONAL HARDMODES FOR THE E-SPORTS CROWD AND REMOVE LFR FROM THE GAME
MAKE IT SO ONLY M+ TIMED RUNS COUNT TOWARDS THE WEEKLY CACHE
MAKE GEAR RARE AND HARD TO GET AGAIN AND REMOVE THE CONSTANTLY SCALING WORLD AND BRING BACK TALENT TREES SO WE HAVE AN RPG TO PLAY AGAIN AND NOT SOME COLLECT-A-THON GAME
