I'm not playing classic but

I’ve skipped pet battles, absolutely cannot get into them. But despite how hard I try pets keep dropping for me… hate it

So, like I said, you’re full of it.

Not sure what you’re doing but this only makes you look like a bigger fool.

I’ll admit I was wrong, but that estimate looks about right by looking at the empty servers on retail.

Seems weird to get bent out of shape when you can just sell them…

You need to stop now, this is really uncomfortable for all of us involved here watching you dig your grave further and further.

I mean I saw another Classic troll claiming retail had 100k in another thread so I’d say 5 mil is doing pretty well, if that random data analysis company is in any way correct.

You should try to see it as how can we improve World of Warcraft since at the end of the day, no matter which version, everyone is playing World of Warcraft.

THATS THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT THAT YOU PLAY HEY HEY HEY HEY

concurrent players at peak time is about 200-300k like a top 1-3 steam game and that’s mostly china and that’s right from the horses mouth, so keep dreaming with your 5 million sub number

Empty?? Tons of people on my server. Maybe try a different server. I mean retail has how many more servers compared to Classic. Let’s try and put all the retail people on the same amount of servers classic has and see if your argument holds up.

Might be some changes, but wouldn’t count on that many. I know it’s hard to believe, but there are just as many folks who prefer the game as it is now, as there are that don’t. I’m just looking forward to multiboxing in classic hahaha. Already a thread over on the classic forum about some boxing going on lol.

Unnecessary. It’s a small side bit of content that some people enjoy. Just because you don’t participate in it doesn’t mean others don’t.

With that line of thinking, I demand they remove everything PvP related. I don’t PvP, never will, so they should scrap it, seriously.

If you wanted to get your friend into playing WoW, how many people here seriously boast about how fun the pet battles are?

But hey, idk, I guess most folks here like their candy crush and Pokemon Go style of games.

This entire theory is hilariously out of touch with reality.

A. Pet battles are very popular. You should really check the pet battle forums, warcraft pets, etc. sometime. I’d be willing to put legit money on the fact more people participate in Pet Battles than people participate in high ranking Rated PvP or Mythic Raiding.

B. You literally are spouting nonsense about how a Blizzard Rep confirmed there are less than 5 million subs, then linked something stating a website “estimates” there’s about 5 million subs.

C. There’s been empty servers on retail since Wrath. It’s because there’s too many servers. Blizzard doesn’t want to merge servers though, because if you end up on the same realm as someone with the same name, 1 out of 2 people with each character name would be forced to rename their characters, 1 out of 2 guilds would have to rename their guild, etc.

They started doing the connected realms, but for some reason haven’t done that again for years. They really need to start doing that again though.

That said, I have yet to see any form of “Empty” zone in BFA. The minute a zone feels empty, I end up sent to another shard and the zone gets populated instantly. As much as I hate the sharding system at times, it does its job and keeps the world feeling full.

The only time it doesn’t work is low level zones, and honestly, that’s just the way it works in MMOs that are this old. BFA alleviated it somewhat with the scaling, but it still doesn’t work completely. When the zones are from 14 years ago, people outlevel them fast, people aren’t going to be questing in them very long. That’s like logging into Final Fantasy 11 and complaining when people aren’t in Sarutabaruta outside of Windhurst because everyone’s in an endgame zone, and not in the starting area, even though the game’s been out longer than WoW.

So you need a reality check.

The only reality I’m dealing with is being stuck in the queue for over an hour.

Can you leave the thread? Go post elsewhere please.

Why should I exactly?

Nerds game shaming other nerds is always kind of hilarious to me.

Pathetic, too, but also hilarious.

If I wanted to get someone into the game, I’d show them the raids and dungeons, and the sets and mounts you can get, and then I’d show them the fun little side game for when the RNG loot system gets to annoying to deal with. The system that lets collectors enjoy a little side game that doesn’t take a lot of game dev focus but can be satisfying to do all the same.
