I'm not concerned about wow's future at all

Yep. There are people that stick around only because their friends are here, and their guildies/friends won’t move to another game with them.

Correct. And seeing as that certain mmo was and still is, a hard core mmo… The players wanting Classic, which is an ultra casual experience by comparison, shouldn’t use that as a benchmark if they wish to brag about wanting an alternative to Retail.

Just saying…

nah

meta-scam-it is useless

people told you that already but you keep holding on to your crowd sourced flame mission

Maybe if you read my post you would see WoW players on there own forums saying its around 3…everyone must be wrong cept you?

Lol I’ve just gotta stop now. I’ve gotta. I’m not that big of a jerk.

I used to 100% believe that, but even during Legion, I noticed a lot of problems developing with this game. It seems to have gotten worse and worse. The worst part about it is: how can the developers truly believe that what they’re making is fun? It kills me. This isn’t a great game for me anymore, though. Just something I probably won’t recommend to my friends. In fact, I’d tell them to find something else like Smite - and I don’t even play Smite. Just to save them some trouble with this game.

first off legion best expansion, you are cut off from the peace pipe man, everyone knows wotlk was the best expansion.

as for the future, i am not all that worried either. i mean more poor decisions on activisions behalf will drive some players away. but there will always be that dedicated fan base. not many mmo’s have the life span of wow, even if you don’t like wow much anymore, or it’s direction, you cannot deny the sheer impact it has had on gaming in a whole. heck a lot of mmos that come out, are always saying how they are the wow killer, and now those games are ftp and crap.

Except they did (BFA).

I think things will be fine as well. I think really the only major issue other than class design is BfA just being developed as cheaply as possible. It’s not difficult to see through the artificial content padding with RNG and focus on world PvP.

Hopefully they invest more in the game.

i don’t care either way really. i play because i find some enjoyment in it. when i don’t i take a break. one day no matter what Wow is going to end.

Pretty much this. I have my reservations about certain features but I’m not super worried about the games future. I hope it lasts as long as it can… there isn’t / hasn’t been anything better and once WoW is done, I’m done.

I’m not concerned about WoW dying, at least not soon. I’m more concerned that the focus will be on money making rather than the game itself, and the quality slowly starting to go down.

Obviously, WoW will eventually die, whether from players no longer playing it or simply because it ran its course, but I’d be surprised if it was soon.

It is, though.

Not concerned either as the only way it would die is if the next expansion was BFA 1.1

For me, it will depend on if they will focus on overhauling the classes again. If they want class fantasy they better drop a major update to the classes to bring that to life. Was a big fan of Legion Survival (was a fan of Ranged, but love Melee more) and they even had to gut that to whatever junk we have now.

Sorta happy BFA made me jump to FFXIV though.

If you say so…

As this thread clearly demonstrates 8.2 will clearly be a failure…even though we have seen no playable version yet. And clearly any further development of the game is just as pointless. Nothing Blizzard could possibly do will ever make this game worth playing again.

They may as well just cancel the patch, future patches, any attempt at class balance or redesign, 9.0, Classic, and the whole Blizzard game development process. Fire the devs, shut down the department, pack the boxes, and lease out the building. Be sure to turn off the lights if you’re the last one out.

Hope fades, passion dies. There is no future. You shall now all see. Sylvanaas was right.

Uhh I wouldn’t classify Legion as one of the best. Like BC/ WOTLK blow that one of the water

You must be fun at parties.

And you think it will clearly be a smashing success, one that fixes every issue, even the ones they have no intention of touching (like broken specs), that will bring back all 100 million accounts that have been closed over the years.

Okay.

It’s pretty clear to me that the devs’ vision of the future state of wow is based on a purity of game design that doesn’t take into account paying customers.

If devs aren’t concerned about the future of the game, why should I be?
