I Agree 100% it seems like a turning point. In the right direction i hope.
They can, but when the studio keeps calling mulligans on flight, on classic servers, on talent trees, etc., you have to wonder if the ones making the calls about what stays and what goes should be the ones making those calls in the first place.
That and the last two expansions were dumpster fires.
Fool me once shame on youâŠ
I hope all reps are grindable via tabards or something similar. This time gating needs to stop.
I didnât catch that - in any of the conversations. Watched it twice.
Exactly - itâs really too bad. Especially when a majority of players like something. Even something as simple as flight whistle.
I hate to say it, but I agree. A back to basics approach is 100% what this game needed. Blizzard is still doing some dumb crap based on bad logic, but at least itâs a step in the right direction.
I finally got nostalgic enough to resub and finish the Shadowlands storyline and I can say with 100% confidence that I will buy Dragonflight at some point.
Iâm not buying Dragonflight because it sounds really good, though. Itâs because BFA and Shadowlands have been so awful that even a slight return to the WoW of old is an appealing prospect at this point and I cannot stomach the idea of Shadowlands being my last memories of WoW.
Imagine what the game would look like today if theyâd used Legion for the base state and had spent the past two expansions polishing.
Dude Iâm pretty stoked for this expansion, theyâre trying a lot of things that interest me.
Shadowlands didnât have either of these things, either. The stuff you âhadâ to do in Shadowlands was so trivial that Iâm sure anyone who complained about them will find something to complain about in every expansion.
Edit: Except Genesis Motes. Thatâs a grind.
Itâs in the summary of one of the interviews post-reveal.
I have to hold on to hope things will get better. Itâs better than being cynical/cold.
I would argue that S1 ( what i played before i unsubbed for a year) was the âAP Grindâ no one in my raid guild enjoyed the later floors and it felt like such a chore for your legendaries ( classes with multiple specs had to get multiple legendries). i should note i played a tauren ret pally at that time not this warrior.
AP (anima) was only for cosmetics. Which is what people requested in BfA, so thatâs what Blizzard did.
Torghast was a couple runs for a couple weeks and then you were done.
I think youâre underselling it out of some opinion you hold. Which is fair. I think that system is awful and would like to see it gone. Iâm happy that in the future theyâre making Legendries rare again.
âbigolcackâ hahahahahaha
ahhhhh finally someone noticed
it aint much, but its honest work.
I second a lot of the same feelings. I really love the more traditional high fantasy setting with elves, magic, dragons, and almost âsurface levelâ conflicts. Having a focus on exploring the world, having less barriers, flying dragons around, and having multiple different builds is just⊠refreshing.
Also the talent revamp is something Iâm very excited to see fully fleshed out. For many specs, there are multiple talents that seem like loads of fun to play with, but you canât reasonably use them because of oppressively good talents on the same row.
Hopefully some of those pain points will be removed with the added flexibility, (also hopefully those oppressively good talents will be featured early on in the talent tree) and hopefully some engaging azerite/legendary effects will be featured, adding different builds and different playstyles within the same spec.
I like that theyâre not intending to arbitrarily force us into story content over and over and over and over again on alts.
I also really love that theyâre letting go of punishing players that want to play more of the game by removing spec/role/content restrictions and will now ACTUALLY allow players to make MEANINGFUL CHOICES, rather than forcing us to stick with one âchoiceâ.
Have the Devs said anything about Master Loot?
There was like 5 threads being spammed about ML before the expac reveal, but havenât seen them in a few days. I heard the Devs mentioned ML not coming back⊠but if anyone has more specific/exact quote/link to a video where they discuss it?
Sounds like good news - I just want to see if it is indeed the case.
