Yeah, Stonetalon.

Alex Afrasiabi back when they were making WoD admitted that he had intentions for Garrosh that ultimately went off in a wildly different different because “not everyone got the memo as it were”. That was the direction Alex wanted it go, but the other writers hit him with the villain bat in time for MoP.

Which is sad because Stonetalon Garrosh could have been interesting, but as it stands the Garrosh we got was just a pigheaded warmonger who for one zone went on about honour despite the fact that he never had any himself anywhere else.

Dude canonically lost pretty much every fight he ever picked, he had plot armor almost as dense as Sylvanas’ was, long before she gained her own. But I can understand why younger/newer players would miss him or think he was cool, they weren’t around to see how he became the focal point for basically wrecking Horde themes and Orc themes. Horde lore still hasn’t recovered, really, Blizzard didn’t even give it time to breathe before running headlong into more warmongering.
