Its an alt, who just wants to bounce around in M+ getting little bits of gear, not experience the entirety of the epic SL storyline. I’ve already seen the movie.
Saying it’s unreasonable for what should be a 20m LFR run.
If you just want to see it for lore reasons use the group finder and Go join a normal group doing it for mogs. I just smashed through there last night on normal in a cheive group.
Got my ramparts screecher
If your willing to tank a normal for people hunting mogs or cheives you will see the place far better than LFR. Best done after reset or maybe weekends.
So, at ilvl 183, the first time I step foot in the place, I should tank a fight I’ve never run for a group of people looking to smash Normal for achieves.
Or dps it. Normal was ok to be tanked by 184 Ivl characters. If you got a 220+ healer feeding you heals you will be fine. When I first stepped into normal Natharia I was 190 ish with no leggendaries.
Castle Nathria is the only way to get some memories for legendaries. So for some people it is a must-do, and probably way easier than trying to get a normal or heroic group together.
That’s why cross faction LFR and LFD queues should be a thing. It makes sense for the lore and story because both factions are fighting the exact the same threats. Since PVP has the mercenary system, PVE should have something similar.
This logic only works if you throw out the concept that there might actually be new players to this game that never experienced that content. The devs do it too: the way everything is tuned/built the game is pretty unfriendly to new people wanting to start group content
Your logic here: Spend many hours getting the 12 other legendaries and then spend currency on an item behind a rep-gate to finally get that legendary. VS waiting in a 3 hour queue for the same legendary. neither sounds fun to me but I’d rather wait in the queue. You just don’t make any sense.
you do realize you need to spend multiple weeks in Korthia right? Your solution here is a month-long grind when someone can just patiently wait in a queue and get it done in a day. I’m sorry (not sorry) but what you’re suggesting is super time-consuming and dumb.
Also I remember in S4 of BFA having no problem getting into any of the 4 raid LFR’s. The problem is that WoW just doesn’t have enough active players anymore for stuff like this to work well
Nope. Not dead at all. Just people don’t waste their time on previous tier LFR even if it is in the same expansion when they can do the current tier. The only ones who run that are pretty much for mogs or maybe to gear up alts.
LMAO completely false. CN was a great raid and one of the best 1st raids of an expansion. Usually the first raids are smaller and not as in depth. Don’t listen to Clark the Troll.
On the one hand, yes, there’s been a dramatic drop in the number of players over the last several months. Anecdotally I’ve seen about 50% less groups or players in zones than earlier in the expac. Compared to early BfA I’ve seen about a 75% loss of players in the areas of content I do.
That being said, if it’s memories you’re after, just use that random thing they put in. They don’t cost much and if you unlock the majority of the other ones than you’ll be basically guaranteed to get the one you’re missing since I don’t think they dupe.
Although honestly, if you’re doing LFR, you could probably completely ignore the entire legendary system. Hell, I don’t think I’ve even bothered unlocking half my soulbinds and I have 80 renown. That’s how engaged I am with the current borrowed power systems.
Strong disagree. My friends list shows most everyone logged out. My guilds are having trouble filling their raids. There is often only one page of actual keys available for the ENTIRE two continents of North and South America (and Australia).
This currently feels like a game played by a few thousand people, not a million+ people
Normal is basically about the same difficulty as LFR for the most part. Probably just be better to wait 4 hours to tank that honestly. Do a few bosses then ditch when you have to go as it’s typical anyway in pugs.
Recent changes in the past couple expansions did this to LFR. Nowadays, you can’t really kill a boss properly with an undergeared raid that needs gear from LFR. Excessive amount of HP, turning the bosses into damage spounges.
In other expansions they had mechanics that could wipe and kill if people slacked off but you wouldn’t end up taking 4 hours to finish a single wing.
I ran LFR a couple of times on a couple of characters but I’m already burned out.
