As much as I enjoy the speculation surrounding new expansions, I have to say i’m a bit impressed by the fact that we are a shade under 3 weeks until reveal and there are no credible leaks that we can bank on.
I’m pretty sure since WOTLK we have have had at least a pretty solid idea of what was coming well before the announcement. I would suspect the lack of Blizcon and the subsequent marketing for that event has been a big factor in this being kept under wraps pretty tightly.
Good, it will make the disappointment that much better when we learn about it for the first time at the official reveal. Someone should make a bingo for it and make sure to include some kind of stupid borrowed power system again…
right but there was at least some hinting at it, and i don’t recall how early but i was pretty sure the concept art for the jailer was leaked, and there was some oribos concept art datamined that helped soft confirm that theory.
I hate being a negative dude but I got a feeling it is not going to be this spectacular turnaround, simply because the budget is not there for legion-sized expansion anymore. I feel their so out of touch with what the player base actually wants and Ion’s war against the casual community rages on as he digs deeper into more complex raiding mechanics and more of the best stuff stuck behind a raid only a handful at a mythic level will experience. I hope I’m wrong.
I am betting they have a road map on file some place that outline the next several expansions. Now maybe actually content isn’t far along but I have no doubt that they already know what this and the next expansion will be about. Hell they probably already have ideas some place for the one after that.
“Steve, listen. We talked about this.”
"I am inventing a way to have Alleria killed and raised into undeath, and she’ll lead the forsaken and go on a completely unhinged war path against a long established character that’s well liked with extremely convoluted shallow twists and ultimately suggest that the long established character that’s also well liked just be forgotten. "
“Steve, are you a true believer? May I see the nape of your neck?”
