I, uh… did BOTH of these things in Legion.
You’re talking about Night Elves here.
The same has happened to Illidan and Maeiv.
It’s one of the Night Elf racials.
I am curious, why in particular does it have to be Tyrande? She doesn’t have any personal relationship with Azshara and Shandris and Malfurion both were nearly as important in the rebellion. (malf arguably more)
Because Tyrande is the leader of the Kaldorei and the head figure that was in charge of fighting off all evil that dared attacked them.
Azshara has personal grudges agains Tyrande because in Azshara’s eyes Tyrande is usurping her place as the rightful queen of the night elves.
She has send many nagas to attack night elves usually mocking Tyrande. She even had one of her nagas ask Shandris to give the head of Tyrande.
I just remembered that one dev interview (can’t remember who it was), where they said Tyrande wasn’t originally planned to take on the Night Warrior role…that was Maiev. If this were the case, I’m betting Tyrande would have been present to fight Azshara while Maiev was off doing NW stuff. There would be no excuse for Tyrande not to be involved in Nazjatar if the story had went in that direction.
Why they swapped those roles around is a big question mark.
More jaina?
That’s how it’s always played out before.
Wait, I want to try and guess the other one. I mean, the most obvious answer is RP Style: LG? Unless you’re about to start calling Sylvanas an evil sl∪t. (boi i wish)
Jaina is the main Horde hero of BFA. Why wouldn’t she be getting the spotlight in 8.2?
I don’t see why people are so against Tyrande being in 8.2. She should be. She should be leading the fight agaisnt Azshara given the past they have with each other. She has more power now then she’s ever had before, and she has a chance to finally take it to the person that’s caused her the most stress and grief in her life… and Shandris is there instead.
If you hate Tyrande, wouldn’t you want to see her dead? It’s not like Azshara is a pushover or anything. Imagine if they clashed with so much power that they both died fighting each other. It’d be a wonderful sendoff for an important character that’s been around for longer than WoW has, but nah, she should survive the expansion so that we can have another Val’sharah moment.
Naw, I try to go Chaotic Good, Lawful Good are the paladins who stand in the Cathedral District and /glare at passing Void Elves… I have used nasty terms ICly to describe Sylvie though.
They’re not really. Largely just Wallurian and the seven other characters who conspicuously follow his posts, agree with him, and all share the same server.
You can tell that blizzards writiers don’t care about the story when they don’t have the person that is the antithesis to Azshara show up at all in 8.2.
It would be like doing Val’sharah and not having Malfurion showing up at all. Not having Khadgar show up during the Gul’dan fight, not having Velen chasing after Kil’jaeden in ToS and being the focus character for patch 7.3
During the WotA, Azshara tried to recruit Tyrande to her side (which pissed of Vashj). When Tyrande refused, Azshara was insulted and since then the two have had a rivalry. Tyrande is the antithesis of Azshara, just like how Malfurion was the antithesis of Xavius. Not having Tyrande involved in 8.2 in a major way would be like taking Malfurion out of the Val’sharah storyline completely.
There is a reason why Tyrande was concerned that Thalyssra would become another “Azshara” after the Nightborne civil war .
Don’t kink-shame.
