Troll racials work real well for casty shaman of either persuasion,
Tanky shaman would probably benefit from Tauren racials with stun for crowd work and extra health.
Melee dps shaman might benefit more from orc axe racial but lets be honest, pick the one with the sound effects you can tolerate the most, especially the being hit noises.
